The System Of Governance In India Has Gone To The Dogs !

The System Of Governance In India Has Gone To The Dogs !

Pictures always speak volumes.’A picture is worth a thousand words’ became quite evident when I came to see ‘dark images’ associated with the recent tricolour hosting attempt at Lal Chowk, Srinagar. I call these pictures “dark images” as they not only depict the brutality of police but also reveal the facets of a rotten system. A system that has nothing to offer to law-abiding citizens but has lot to offer to the corrupt souls involved in all sorts of inhuman practices.

It needs to be recalled that activists of BJP, who wished to hoist a flag at the Lal Chowk on this Republic Day to mark the culmination of Ekta Yatra were not allowed to hoist the flag, citing fears of law and order breakdown”. As per news items, the government machinery breathed a sigh of relief when it managed to keep the activists away from the Lal Chowk.

However, the other side of the story got delayed. After the emergence of these gory images, it’s quite clear that police crossed the line between human decency and barbarism in a mad attempt to prevent the hoisting of the flag. It’s not hard to imagine the plight of people who are behind the bars if that’s the treatment meted out to people engaged in harmless and noble gesture. It’s a real shame that all the human rights protection messages which one often finds posted on the walls of Police Station do mean nothing for the beasts functioning as policemen. It appears that police this time was inspired by the Pre-Independence British police!

I need to ask: Is attempt to hoist a National Flag a huge offence that should make police go berserk ? What was the need to beat the activists black and blue ? Isn’t our system promoting anarchism by allowing total liberty to the anti-national elements but at the same time dealing with iron hand activities that restore the pride of nation ?

I just don ‘t know how my readers are going to react ? However, after seeing this images, I am but convinced that our system compromising of legislature, executive and judicial branches has gone to the dogs.

    “Very unfortunate! A barbaric act!”

    1. @Mishraji

      Well said !

It’s time that this nation should give way to partial dictatorship !! Do you remember that the same sort of freedom movement in name of “Khalistan” took place in Punjab few decades back ? That movement was wiped out with perfect use of force. We need to bring in use the same strategy to teach the separatist same lesson in Kashmir and elsewhere.

  2. A Comment By Mr SP Singh On Instablogs:

I might not support the action taken by BJP to policise the issue when Govt. of J&k and at New Delhi are trying to stabilse the situation in Kashmir, as they claim. However, I am dead against use of force in the manner as depicted in the pictures here by Mr. Arvind. This reminds action taken by britishers during pre independenace era in India on the freedom fighters.
I condemn whole heartedly this act and use of force.

    1. My Response To Mr.SP Singh:

      @SP Singh

If that’s the way police deals with activists belonging to a national party, one can imagine the plight of common people whom destiny forces to interact with policemen !

This sort of inhuman treatment is only giving rise to deep resentment in the hearts and minds of common people.

  3. Governments, when the easy feeding from the troth seems to be in jeopardy, governments will force their will by whatever means they see needed to keep their position at the front of the food line

Violence is how rulers over other weaker humans have formed all cultures, as we see on earth and that way of holding on to the power by the fewer– will never change

Agree to you what you say but dislike ” will never change” suffix at end of each comment..Needless, to see vagueness in your comments (it’s not here in this comment) is on the top of the list of my most hated things 🙂
