ब्लॉगर को पत्रकार बनने की कोई जरूरत नहीं !!!
ब्लॉगर को पत्रकार बनने की जरूरत नहीं!!
इस मुद्दे पे लिंक्डइन के एक प्रतिष्ठित फोरम में आयोजित चर्चा में विदेशी और देशी मीडिया के अति सम्मानित पत्रकार, मीडिया समूह के मालिको और पारंपरिक मीडिया से हटकर सोशल मीडिया का प्रतिनिधत्व करते सम्मानित ब्लागरो ने गंभीर चर्चा की. इस चर्चा में मुख्य मुद्दा ये रहा कि ब्लॉगर को पत्रकार माना जाए कि नहीं. पारंपरिक मीडिया से जुड़े अधिकांश लोगो ने सतही कारण गिनाते हुए ब्लॉगर को पत्रकार का दर्जा देने से साफ़ इनकार कर दिया. इनका ये कहना था कि इनमे वो प्रोफेशनल दक्षता नहीं है जो कि एक पत्रकार में पायी जाती है. इस समूह का ये भी मानना था कि पत्रकार पत्रकारिता का कोर्स करके और कार्य कुशलता हासिल करके मीडिया के क्षेत्र में आते है लिहाजा इनके पास बेहतर आलोचनात्म्क वृत्ति होती है, रिपोर्टिंग स्टाइल बेहतर होती है और ये किसी मुद्दे पे पर बहुत सुलझी हुई प्रतिक्रिया देते है. इस वजह से ये ब्लॉगर से कही बेहतर होते है. पर मेरी नज़रो में चर्चा में शामिल बड़े नामो ने इस अति महत्त्वपूर्ण दृष्टिकोण की उपेक्षा कर दी: एक ब्लॉगर को एक अच्छा पत्रकार बनने की जरुरत ही क्या है ?
इस बात को बहुत अच्छी तरह से महसूस किया जा सकता है कि ब्लागरो के लगातार बढ़ते प्रभाव ने पारंपरिक मीडिया में एक खलबली सी मचा दी है. खैर इस मुद्दे पे पारंपरिक मीडिया से जुड़े पत्रकारों से मै उलझना नहीं चाहता. मै तो उन ब्लागरो को जो कि एक अच्छा पत्रकार बनने की उम्मीद पाल कर ब्लागिंग आरम्भ करते है उनको यही सन्देश पहुचाना चाहता हूँ कि एक अच्छे पत्रकार के रूप में अपना सिक्का गाड़ने कि सोच से ये सोच लाख गुना बेहतर है कि ब्लागिंग में जो अद्भुत तत्त्व निहित है उनको अपना के संवेदनशील मुद्दों को बेहतर रूप से जनता के बीच पहुचाएं.
अच्छी ब्लॉगिंग करने के लिए गज़ब की मेधा और दृढ इच्छाशक्ति चाहिए .
मेरा ये मानना है कि पत्रकार और ब्लॉगर में भेद बना रहे. ये अलग बात है कि एक अच्छा पत्रकार और एक सिद्ध ब्लॉगर दोनों लगभग एक सी ही उन्नत सोच और लगभग एक सी ही कार्यशैली से किसी मुद्दे पर काम करते है. लेकिन इतनी समानता के बावजूद ब्लॉगर को आधुनिक पत्रकारिता के सांचे में नहीं ढलना चाहिए जिसमे पत्रकारिता का एक धंधे में रूपांतरण हो चुका है अपने मिशनरी स्वरूप से. ये बात भी हमको नहीं भूलनी चाहिए कि पारंपरिक मीडिया से जुड़े पत्रकार और संपादक आज के समय में किसी भी मुद्दे पे भ्रामक और स्वार्थपरक रूख रखते है. नीरा राडिया जैसे लोगो का दखल और प्रायोजित सम्पादकीय इसके सर्वोत्तम उदाहरण है.
इसका दूसरा उदाहरण विदेशी अखबार और मैगजीन है. इन सम्मानित समाचार पत्रों में अगर आप भारत से जुडी खबर पढ़े तो आपको विदेशी पत्रकारों का मनमाना और पक्षपातपूर्ण रूख द्रष्टिगोचर हो जाएगा. इसके बाद भी विदेशी मीडिया समूह अपनी निष्पक्षता और पारदर्शिता का हर तरफ बखान करता है. अधिकाँश ब्लॉगर किसी बाहरी दबाव से मुक्त होते है. इनपे किसी का जोर नहीं कि किसी मुद्दे को ये ख़ास नज़रिए से देखे. इनको मुद्दे को किसी भी दृष्टिकोण से प्रस्तुत करने की आज़ादी रहती है. ये अलग बात है कि सहज मानवीय गुण दोषों से ये भी संचालित होते है और किसी के प्रभाव में आ कर स्वार्थ से संचालित हो सकते है.
ब्लॉग्स पर एक समझदार आदमी ज्यादा भरोसा करता है!
इस बात को पूरी तरह से खारिज किया जा सकता है कि किसी को एक अच्छे लेखक या पत्रकार के रूप में उभरने के लिए पत्रकारिता संस्थान से जुड़ना अनिवार्य होता है. ये विचार हास्यास्पद है कि अच्छा लिखने की कला का विकास पत्रकारिता संस्थान से जुड़कर होता है. एक उन्नत बोध जो समाचार के तत्त्वों से वाकिफ हो उसको आप कैसे किसी के अन्दर डाल सकते है ? इस तरह के बोध का उत्पादन थोड़े ही किया जा सकता है पत्रकारिता संस्थानों के अन्दर. ये बताना बहुत आवश्यक है कि ये आधुनिक समय की देन है कि लोग पत्रकारिता की डिग्री को अनिवार्यता मान बैठे है. यही वजह है की कुकुरमुत्ते की तरह पत्रकारिता संस्थानों की बाढ़ आ गयी है भारत में जो पत्रकार बनने की आस लिए युवको का शोषण कर रहे है.
खैर इसका मतलब ये नहीं कि पत्रकारिता से जुड़े अच्छे संस्थानों का कोई मोल नहीं. मेरा सिर्फ ये कहना है कि सिर्फ इस आधार पे ब्लॉगर और पत्रकार में भेद किया जाना उचित नहीं कि एक के पास डिग्री है और दूसरे के पास नहीं है.ब्लॉगर के पास अनुभव का विशाल खज़ाना होता है जिसकी अनदेखी सिर्फ इस वजह से नहीं की जा सकती कि इसने किसी पत्रकारिता संस्थान से कोर्स नहीं किया है !
अंत में यही कहूँगा कि ब्लॉगर को पत्रकार बनने की लालसा से रहित होकर लगातार उत्कृष्ट कार्य करते रहना चाहिए, बेहतरीन मापदंड स्थापित करते रहना चाहिए. ब्लॉगर को ये नहीं भूलना चाहिए कि वे सड़ गल चुकी पारंपरिक मीडिया से इतर एक बेहतर विकल्प के रूप में उभरे है. इनको पत्रकारों के समूह और मीडिया प्रकाशनों में व्याप्त गलत तौर तरीको से बच के रहने की जरूरत है. ब्लॉगर ये कभी ना भूले कि उसे पत्रकार जैसा नहीं वरन पत्रकार से बेहतर बनना है.
ब्लॉगिंग के महत्त्व को सब प्रतिष्ठित प्रकाशनों ने एकमत से स्वीकार किया है.

कांची के शंकराचार्य की रिहाई इस बात को दर्शाती है कि वर्तमान समय में दुष्प्रचार ज्यादा ताकतवर है बजाय सत्य के!
कांची के शंकराचार्य अंततः निर्दोष और निष्पाप होकर उभरे लेकिन इस नौ साल लम्बे ड्रामे की वजह से इस अति प्राचीन हिन्दू मठ पर जो दाग लगे उसको मिटने में कई वर्ष लगेंगे.
इस नए युग के इंडिया यानि “भारत” के अगर हाल के घटनाओ को देखे तो ये आसानी से समझ आ जाएगा कि धर्मनिरपेक्ष सरकारो ने सबसे ज्यादा जुल्म ढाया है हिन्दू संतो पर. ये धर्मनिरपेक्ष सरकारे मुग़लकाल के बाद्शाहो और ब्रिटिश काल के शासको से भी ज्यादा क्रूर रही है हिन्दू धर्मं से जुड़े प्रतीकों को ध्वस्त करने और इनसे जुड़े लोगो को अपमानित करने के मामले में. हिन्दू संतो को निराकरण ही प्रताड़ित किया जा रहा है और इन्हे यौन अपराधो से लेकर देशद्रोह जैसे जघन्य अपराधो में बेवजह घसीटा जा रहा है. बिकी हुई मीडिया इन प्रकरणो का एक पक्ष दिखाती है अपने देश में और देश के बाहर विदेशी अखबारो में. ये आपको अक्सर देखने को मिलेगा कि इस प्रकार के खबरो में ज्यादातर झूठ होता है या अर्धसत्य का सहारा लेकर एक भ्रामक कहानी गाढ़ी जाती है. कोई भी मुख्यधारा का समाचार पत्र तस्वीर के दोनों पहलू दिखाने में दिलचस्पी नहीं रखता.
एक सबसे बड़ी वजह ये है कि ज्यादातर भारतीय मीडिया समूह का कण्ट्रोल विदेशी ताकतो के हाथो में है. सबके विदेशी हित कही ना कही शामिल है तब हम किस तरह से इनसे ये आशा रखे कि ये सच बोलेंगे? ये वही मुख्यधारा के समाचार पत्र है जो साध्वी प्रज्ञा के गिरफ्तारी को तो खूब जोर शोर से दिखाते है लेकिन साध्वी के साथ जेल के अंदर हुए अमानवीय कृत्यो को जो बंदियो के अधिकारो का सरासर उल्लंघन था उसको दिखाने या बताने से साफ़ मुँह मोड़ गए. ये वही मुख्यधारा के समाचार पत्र है जिन्होंने देवयानी प्रकरण में देवयानी का साथ इस तरह से दिया जैसी कि उसने भारत के नाम विदेशो में ऊँचा किया हो, जैसे उसने कोई जुर्म ही नहीं किया हो. वो इसलिए से क्योकि इसका सरकार से सीधा सरोकार है और सिस्टम इसके पक्ष में है लेकिन हर वो आदमी जिसने भी सरकार ये सिस्टम के विपक्ष में कुछ कहा उसे इस तरह की सरकारे या सिस्टम सुनियोजित तरीको से अपराधी घोषित कर देता है.
ये कहने में कोई संकोच नहीं कि आज के युग मे सत्य से ज्यादा असरदार किसी के खिलाफ सुनियोजित तरीके से फैलायी गयी मनगढंत बाते है. समाचार पत्रो का काम होता है सत्य को सामने लाना सही रिपोर्टिंग के जरिये लेकिन हो इसका ठीक उल्टा रहा है: मीडिया आज सबसे बड़ा हथियार बन गयी है झूठ और भ्रम को विस्तार देने हेतु. इसका केवल इतना काम रहा गया है कि हर गलत ताकतो को जो सत्ता में है उनको बचाना, उनको बल देना. एक बाजारू औरत की तरह अपनी निष्ठा को हर बार बदलते रहना मीडिया का एकमात्र धर्मं बन गया है. साधारण शब्दो में ये सत्ता पे आसीन शासको की भाषा बोलता है. कांची के पूज्य जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य स्वामी जयेन्द्र सरस्वती जी की गिरफ्तारी के प्रकरण के रौशनी में इस प्रकरण को देखे जिन्हे २००४ में बेहद शर्मनाक तरीके से शंकर रमण के हत्या के आरोप में गिरफ्तार कर लिया था. शंकर रमण कांची के एक मंदिर में मैनेजेर थें. उस वक्त के तमिलनाडु के तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री जयललिता ने अपने को धर्मनिरपेक्ष साबित करने के लिए और ये जताने के लिए कि कानून से ऊपर कोई नहीं होता इनकी गिरफतारी सुनिश्चित की. कांची के शंकराचार्य के ऊपर “आपराधिक षड्यंत्र, अदालत को गुमराह करने गलत सूचना के जरिये, धन का आदान प्रदान आपराधिक गतिविधि को क्रियांवित करने के लिये” आदि आरोप लगाये गए.
इस एक हज़ार साल से भी ऊपर अति प्राचीन ब्राह्मणो के अत्यंत महत्त्वपूर्ण केंद्र के मुख्य संचालक को इस तरह अपमानजनक तरीके से एक दुर्दांत अपराधी के भांति गिरफ्तार करना और फिर मुख्यधारा के समाचार पत्रो के द्वारा अनर्गल बयानो के आधार पर उनको दोषी करार कर देना अपने आप में मीडिया की सच्चाई बयान कर देता है. ये बता देना आवश्यक रहेगा कि कांची कामकोटि पीठ हिन्दुओ का अति प्राचीन मठ है जिसको हिन्दू समुदाय में दुनिया भर में बेहद श्रद्धा के साथ देखा जाता है. कांची के पूज्य जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य स्वामी जयेन्द्र सरस्वती जी बहुत सम्मान की दृष्टि से देखे जाते रहे है हिन्दू शास्त्रो के मर्मज्ञ होने के कारण. इन्होने नवी शताब्दी में स्थापित कांची कामकोटि पीठ के गरिमा को नयी ऊंचाई प्रदान की, जिसकी हिन्दू समुदाय में वेटिकन चर्च सरीखी पकड़ है. जयललिता और ब्राह्मण विरोधी नेता डीएमके प्रमुख करूणानिधि के आपसी मतभेदों के चलते इस हिन्दू मठ के माथे पर कालिख लग गयी.

उस वक्त के प्रमुख समाचार पत्रो ने ये दर्शाया कि पुलिस इस तरह से गिरफ्तार करने का साहस बिना पुख्ता सबूतो के कर ही नहीं सकती. उस वक्त अभियोजन पक्ष के वकील इस बात से पूरी तरह आश्वस्त थे कि शंकराचार्य को दोषी साबित करने के लिए उनके पास पर्याप्त पुख्ता सबूत थें. विवेचना अधिकारी प्रेम कुमार का ये बयान प्रमुखता से छपा कि हमारे पास ठोस साक्ष्य है स्वामी जयेन्द्र सरस्वती के खिलाफ और ये कि शंकर रमण और इनके बीच करीब चार सालो से आपसी मनमुटाव था जिसको सिद्ध करने के लिए पर्याप्त सबूत इकठ्ठा किये जा रहे है.
खैर ईश्वर के यहाँ देर भले हो पर अंधेर नहीं है. सत्य की अंततः विजय हुई जब पांडिचेरी की विशेष अदालत ने सत्ताइस नवंबर २०१३ को उन सभी लोगो को जो शंकर रमण हत्याकांड में आरोपी बनाये गए थें उनको बाइज्जत बरी कर दिया. इसी के साथ नौ साल से हो रहे ड्रामे का पटाक्षेप हो गया. उन पर लगाये गए सभी आरोपो से उन्हें मुक्त कर दिया गया. जितने भी प्रमुख गवाह थें उन्होंने अभियोजन पक्ष के वर्णन को समर्थन देने से इंकार कर दिया। अभियोजन पक्ष के विरोध में करीब ८० से अधिक गवाहो ने अपने बयान दर्ज कराये।
कांची के शंकराचार्य अंततः निर्दोष और निष्पाप होकर उभरे लेकिन इस नौ साल लम्बे ड्रामे की वजह से इस अति प्राचीन हिन्दू मठ पर जो दाग लगे उसको मिटने में कई वर्ष लगेंगे. हिन्दुओ के आस्था और प्रतीक के साथ जो बेहूदा मजाक हुआ उसके निशान कई वर्षो तक संवेदनशील मनो को कटोचते रहेंगे. लेकिन हिन्दू ब्राह्मण के उदार मन को देखिये कि इतना होने के बाद भी किसी के प्रति कोई कटुता नहीं. इस परिपेक्ष्य में शंकराचार्य के वक्तव्य को देखिये जो उन्होंने बरी होने के बाद दिया: ” धर्म की विजय हुई. सत्य की जीत हुई. सब कुछ खत्म हो जाने के बाद अंत में केवल यही बात मायने रखती है. मुझे मेरे गुरु ने सब कुछ सहन करने को कहा है. इसलिए ये कहना उचित नहीं होगा कि हालात मेरे लिए असहनीय थें. हा कुछ दिक्कते जरूर आयी वो भी उस वजह सें कि हम लोग नयी तरह की परिस्थितयो का सामना कर रहे थें. हमने पूर्व में देखा है कि किस तरह आक्रमणकारियों ने हिन्दू मंदिरो पर हमले कर उनको विध्वंस किया। आज जब हम मंदिरो पर पड़े उन हमलो की निशानियाँ देखते है तो हमे वे आक्रमणकारी और उनकी क्रूरता याद आती है. आज जो कुछ भी मठ के साथ हुआ ( मेरे पर जो आरोप लगे) वे बहुतो की नज़र में पूर्व में किये गए आक्रमणकारियों के द्वारा किये गए विध्वंस सरीखे ही है.”
ये बहुत दुःख की बात है कि जैसे ही किसी हिन्दू संत पर कोई आरोप लगते है सारे मुख्यधारा के मीडिया समूह उस संत को बदनाम करने की कवायद में जुट जाते है पूरी ताकत से इस बात से बिल्कुल बेपरवाह होकर कि मीडिया का मुख्य काम किसी भी घटना की सही-२ रिपोर्टिंग करनी होती है ना कि न्यायिक ट्रायल करना। उससे भी बड़ी बिडम्बना ये है कि अगर संत पर लगे आरोप निराधार और झूठे पाये जाते है तो जो अखबार या फिर न्यूज़ चैनल आरोप लगने के वक्त पूरे जोर शोर से संत को दोषी ठहरा रहे थे वे ही अखबार और न्यूज़ चैनल पूरी तरह से कन्नी काट लेते है. संत को बेगुनाह साबित करने वाली खबर कब आती है और कब चली जाती है ये पता भी नहीं चलता है. यही वजह है कि कांची के शंकराचार्य की बेगुनाही और बाइज्ज़त बरी होना किसी भी शीर्ष अखबार के सुर्खियो में नहीं आया. शायद सेकुलर मीडिया ने ये सोच कर इस खबर को प्रमुखता से नहीं बताया क्योकि हिन्दुओ से जुडी कोई भली खबर सेक्युलर भावना के विपरीत होती है!
मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया को प्रोपगेंडा ज्यादा रास आता है बजाय सत्य के. सेक्युलर ताकतो ने और इनके द्वारा संचालित मीडिया समूहो ने कांची के शंकराचार्य के गिरफ्तारी के वक्त ये बहुत जोरदार तरीके से ये दर्शाया कि कोई भी कानून से ऊपर नहीं होता. तो क्या यही सेक्युलर ताकते जो कानून की बात करती है शाही ईमाम सैय्यद अहमद बुख़ारी को गिरफ्तार करने की हिम्मत रखते है जिन पर कई धाराओ में देश के विभिन्न थानो में एफ आई आर दर्ज है? क्या यही सेक्युलर ताकते उन क्रिस्चियन मिशनरीज को बेनकाब करने की ताकत रखती है जो देश के पिछड़े और दूर दराज के इलाको में लोगो को बहला फुसला कर उनका धर्म परिवर्तन कर रही है? लेकिन ये सबको पता है कि सेक्युलर मीडिया ऐसा कभी नहीं करेगा. ऐसा इसलिए कि इन सेक्युलर लोगो की निगाह में कानून के लम्बे हाथ केवल हिन्दू संतो के गर्दन तक पहुंचती है. ये हिन्दू संतो को केवल बदनाम करने तक ही सीमित है और हिन्दू आस्था को खंडित और विकृत करने भर के लिए है. ये दुष्प्रचार के समर्थक है सत्य के नहीं.
हिन्दू संत अपनी जाने गंवाते रहे है लेकिन ये खबरे कभी भी सेक्युलर मीडिया की सुर्खिया नहीं बनी. ये स्वामी लक्ष्मणानन्द जी की तस्वीर है जिनकी हत्या क्रिस्चियन ताकतो ने कर दी थी.

Any close observer of the happenings in modern India would easily confirm that secular governments have unleashed a sort of war against Hindu saints. They have been framed in number of heinous crimes right from sexual crimes to crimes against national security. The paid media ensures that one-sided coverage gets highlighted not only within Indian landscape but also in International arena. In such matters wherein Hindu saints are involved, a striking feature is that news coverage is full of lies and twisted truths spread by secular press. None of the mainstream media dares to reveal both sides of the story in an impartial way.
One important reason is that most of the Indian media houses are in some way controlled by hidden powers in Western nations. How can we then expect truth to make its presence felt? After all, the mainstream media which harps about involvement of Sadhvi Pragya in blasts never found it important enough to report in same candid fashion about severe violation of rights of prisoners, about inhuman treatment meted out to her inside the jail! The same media is so hyper-sensitive about rights of Devyani who made mockery of India’s honour in West but yet she is being portrayed as if she committed no crime at all! That’s because she is part of the system. But anybody who dared to expose the misdeeds of government was branded as criminal in a well-planned manner!
What I am trying to ascertain that we have given way to era wherein propaganda has become more powerful than version close to truth. One of the most important job of media is to reveal the real picture but exactly opposite has taken place: Media has become carrier of falsehood and distorted versions. It’s main agenda has become to shield dubious powers in rule. Like a prostitute it keep changing its loyalty or, in other words, it generally speaks the language of rulers! Remember the arrest of Kanchi Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati in year 2004 in most humiliating manner for allegedly playing a role in murder of Sankararaman, manager of the Sri Varadarajaswamy Temple. The then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,J Jayalalithaa, in an attempt to appear more secular than others and to give an impression that no one is above law ensured his arrest! The Kanchi seers were charged with” criminal conspiracy, misleading the court by giving false information, criminal trespass and supply of funds to carry out the criminal activity.”

The head of a 1,000-year-old Brahmin monastic order was presented as petty criminal in mainstream media and even before case was put to trial he was portrayed as accused. Let’s remember that Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham is one of the oldest Hindu mutts in the country and Shankarcharyas belonging to this mutt command a great respect among Hindu communities across the globe. In fact, Swami Jayendra Saraswati is a highly respected figure having profound knowledge of Hindu scriptures. He like his predecessors provided new heights to this mutt established in 9th century by Sri Adi Shankaracharya, enjoying similar status the way Vatican enjoys amid Christians. However, clash of interests between J Jayalalithaa and DMK chief Karunanidhi, who represented anti- Brahminical movments, ensured that this highly revered pontiff got disgraced.
Prominent media analysts of that period conveyed the impression that “police would not have acted unless they had sufficient evidence.” Ironically, the prosecution at that time was supremely confidant about involvement of Kanchi seers in abetting murder of Sankararaman, claiming that it had “incriminating evidence”. The investigating officer Prem Kumar came out with version that made mutt head appear guilty: “We have strong evidence about the involvement of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi in Sankararaman’s murder. There has been animosity between the two for the past four years and further investigation is on to corroborate the evidence collected on the involvement of the Kanchi Acharya.” The allegations had deepened with revelations of Tamil magazine Nakkeeran. Amid these bizarre turn of events, the case got transferred to Pondicherry to ensure fair trial. To make the matters worse for Kanchi mutt head, even allegations of sexual exploitation surfaced. However, the truth had the last laugh when verdict delivered by a special court in Pondicherry acquitted all the accused involved in this sensational murder. The verdict was delivered on November 27, 2013 after nine years of suspense and drama of all sorts. They were acquitted of all the charges which included “criminal conspiracy, misleading the court by giving false information, criminal trespass and supply of funds to carry out the criminal activity.” The main witnesses failed to corroborate the prosecution’s theory. More than 80 witnesses went against the story presented by the prosecution.
Well, it’s true that Kanchi seers got acquitted but in the process it caused irreparable damage to the reputation of an institution, which represented the collective psyche of Hindus. This “collective psyche” of Hindus made its presence felt again the way Kanchi Mutt Head responded to this verdict: ” Dharma has prevailed. Truth has won. That is what matters…I have been trained by my Guru to bear everything. There is no question of situation being tough. Times were challenging because we were facing completely new set of situations. ..There are several invaders who vandalized our temples. Today when you see the disfigured temples you remember the invaders and their acts of vandalism. What was perpetrated on the mutt has been termed as an act of vandalism by several people.” (Kanchi Sathya Org)

It’s really saddening that moments allegations against Hindu saints surfaces, the whole mainstream media goes berserk and paints them in wrong colours, forgetting that its main task is to report the incident and not to conduct trials. Worse, when the allegations are found false and saints get acquitted the same news item does not get prominence. Acquittal is never important than false stories planted by vested interests. No wonder acquittal of Kanchi’s Shankracharya did not get the same coverage. After all, it strengthens cause of Hindus, which is antithetical to secular spirit of this nation. The mainstream media is more interested in propaganda than emergence of truth.
The secular forces always convey the impression that no one is above law. And so will they dare to arrest Shahi Imam Syed Ahmad Bukhari against whom so many cases have been registered? Will they dare to bring in open and convict Christian missionaries involved in conversion of tribals in remote corners of India? That will never take place. The law exists only for Hindu saints. It’s an instrument of oppression for Hindus and all that which represents self-pride of Hindus. It’s there to support propaganda and not to sustain truth.

हिंदी पत्रकारिता की धज्जिया उड़ाने वाले कोई और नहीं हिंदी के तथाकथित पत्रकार खुद है. ये पत्रकारिता नहीं मठाधीशी करते है. कम से कम उत्तर भारत के सबसे ज्यादा बिकने वाले एक प्रसिद्ध हिंदी दैनिक के कार्यालय में जाने पर तो यही अनुभव हुआ. अखबार देखिये तो लगता है खबर के बीच विज्ञापन नहीं बल्कि विज्ञापन के बीच खबर छप रही है. उसके बाद भाषा का स्तर देखिये वही हिंग्लिश या फिर सतही हिंदी का प्रदर्शन. और करेला जैसे नीम चढ़ा वैसी ही बकवास खबरे. मसलन बराक ओबामा को भी अपनी पत्नी से डर लगता है! इस खबर इस समाचार पत्र ने फोटो सहित प्रमुखता से छापा पर इस अखबार के लोगो को पुरुष उत्पीडन जैसी गंभीर बात को जगह देने की समझ नहीं। इसकी सारगर्भिता को समझाना उनके लिए उतना ही कठिन हो जाता है जैसे किसी बिना पढ़े लिखे आदमी को आइंस्टीन के सूत्र समझाना। बिना पढ़े लिखे आदमी को भी बात समझाई जा सकती है अगर वो कम से कम सुनने को तैयार हो मगर वो ऐसी बात सुनकर मरकही गाय की तरह दुलत्ती मारने लगे तब? हिंदी पत्रकारिता आजकल ऐसे ही लोग कर रहे है.
हिंदी पत्रकारिता का जब इस देश में उदय हुआ था तो उसने इस देश के आज़ादी में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी. उस युग के सभी प्रमुख क्रांतिकारियों के अपने समाचार पत्र थें. लेकिन आज के परिदृश्य में ये पूंजीपतियों के हाथो में सबसे बड़ा अस्त्र है अपने प्रोडक्ट को बेचने का, राजनैतिक रूप से अपने विरोधियो को चित्त करने का. सम्पादकीय आजकल प्रभावित होकर लिखे जा रहे है. हिंदी समाचार पत्र में छपने वाले समाचार खबरों के निष्पक्ष आकलन के बजाय अंग्रेजी अखबारों के खबरों का सतही अनुवाद भर है. मै जिस उत्तर भारत के सबसे ज्यादा पढ़े जाने वाले प्रसिद्ध समाचार पत्र की बात कर रहा हूँ वो अपने को सांस्कृतिक विचारो के प्रभाव को दिशा देने वाला समझता है लेकिन अपने अखबार के मिनी संस्करण के पन्नो पर विकृत हिंदी में (माने कि हिंग्लिश) में सबसे कूड़ा खबरे और वो भी “ऑय कैंडी” के सहारे बेचता है. “आय कैंडी” आखिर भारी विरोध के वजह से गायब तो हुआ पर जाते जाते बाज़ार में टिके रहने की समझ दे गया!
बाज़ार में बने रहने का गुर इस्तेमाल करना गलत नहीं है लेकिन इसका ये मतलब ये नहीं है कि आप खबरों के सही विश्लेषण करने की कला को तिलांजलि दे दें. लेकिन हकीकत यही है. हिंदी के पत्रकार और सम्पादक ना सीखना चाहते है और ना ही सीखने की तमीज रखते है. कुएं के मेढंक बने रहना इन्हें सुहाता है. अगर यकीन ना हो तो किसी हिंदी के अखबार के दफ्तर में जाके देख लें. खासकर उत्तर भारत के सबसे ज्यादा बिकने वाले हिंदी के अखबार के दफ्तर में तो जरूर जाए. वहा आपको खुले दिमागों के बजाय दंभ से चूर बंद दिमाग आपको मिलेंगे। क्या ये दिमाग सच को उभारेंगे? समाज को बदलेंगे?

Uttar Pradesh expected better developments in the regime of young Chief Minister. However, such expectations turned out to be a great illusion. Akhilesh Yadav, who represents the spirit of youth, gave way to same means exhibited by worn out old minds, proving beyond doubt that mere youth force is of no use but youth force backed up by noble vision and sound policies does the real magic. No wonder Uttar Pradesh is today witnessing one of the darkest phases of its existence as a state. Since the time of his becoming Chief Minister, a year and a half, the state has witnessed series of riots, making it a disturbed zone. The bureaucratic system has fallen prey to casteist politics, to an extent that even an impartial constitutional body like Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is finding hard to retain its glory of yesteryear. The honest bureaucrats like Durga Shakti Nagpal are being harassed and bullied on concocted grounds. Ironically, the real culprits who are actually disturbing the communal harmony, a ground cited as a cause for suspending IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, are roaming scot free.
Coming to riots of serious magnitude which hit Muzaffarnagar couple of weeks ago, one needs to know the actual reasons which triggered them. The mainstream media circulated state sponsored corrupt version of actual reasons, marred by half lies and manipulation of facts. It’s believed that an incident of eve teasing led to this riot. However, that’s an insignificant reason blown out of proportion to hide the real factors. It has been very cleverly suppressed that for past few months Muzaffarnagar region was simmering with anger over series of rapes with Hindu girls committed by Muslim youths. The ineffective state machinery remained mute spectator to such rising number of sexual assaults on Hindu girls. It’s real shame that although this nation witnessed an unprecedented level of protest in case of Nirbhaya the Damini gang-rape case, the series of brutal rapes in this part of Uttar Pradesh were not taken into cognizance by anybody. Any conscious citizen would like to know why were state machinery and Central government so unconcerned about these rape incidents?
As a result of this bureaucratic apathy and partisan approach of mainstream media in reporting such incidents with same intensity, the local community organised a mass meeting to deal with such grave developments, mainly to ensure the safety of women and daughters. On September 07, the participants going to attend this meeting were attacked, leading to tense situation, which later spiralled out of control. What added fuel to the fire was that subsequent developments were remote controlled to allegedly benefit Muslim community. It’s learned that Jat-Muslim equations in this area constitute a huge vote bank. That was cited as a main reason as to why riots came to hit this area. However, it’s far away from truth. This might be one of the reasons but not a strong ground to give way to riot of this volatile nature, which made even the prime minister Manmohan Singh hail it as a “big tragedy”.
Mazaffarnagar riots, one of the worst riots to hit this country, revealed shades of murkier politics involved in riots, making it clear that riots are often well planned in advance and execution of these nefarious designs take place effectively by the hidden hands at a suitable time. The witnesses of Muzaffarnagar riots categorically stated before the media that police did not respond to the calls of victims crying for help. The victims also stated about inaction of police before the PM and other senior leaders from the Centre. This corroborates the alleged involvement of State Minister, who was seen in a sting operation instructing a police official to act in a irresponsible way!
In fact, Union Minister Jairam Ramesh bluntly stated that Akhilesh Yadav was “masterly inactive” during the heated phase of riots. “On Muzaffarnagar, none of us will keep quiet. What he (Akhilesh) has done is inexcusable.” Let’s not forget that one of the allegations against Narendra Modi is that he did not act swiftly during the riots in Gujarat, and thus, secular media quickly labelled him as the architect of pogrom in Gujarat. Ironically, the same secular media remained silent over the Godhra victims and Muslim perpetrators involved in burning of the train- a prime cause that led to the start of riots! Will these riots be attributed to Akhilesh as controlled pogrom the Gujarat way?
Illegal Arms Supply To The Minorities: How Would You Curb It?
- Arms and ammunition in large quantity were seized by police in aftermath of the riots. This proves beyond that misguided forces in minority community are involved in illegal arms racket. So what were Intelligence agencies doing when these illegal weapons got supplied to these anti-social elements? One of the problems faced by this country is that appeasement of Muslims has spread like a plague. It never allows Intelligence agencies to act in effective manner. The moment any strict action is taken against the anti-social elements present in the minority community, it leads to shrill cry of harassment of minorities in India by the so-called secular forces operating in India and abroad.
This is a serious issue which involves a key question: What is the way to ensure the complete elimination of anti-social elements present among the minorities? Since we cannot expect political heads to answer this sensitive question, the Supreme Court, taking suo moto cognizance of such critical developments needs to deal sternly with such anti-national developments. Why should members of one particular community be not subjected to stern actions in an attempt to wipe out wrong elements? It’s laughable that Muzaffarnagar riots are being stated as fallout of eve-teasing incident, making the focus of probe get limited by minor aspects. These riots have exposed serious loopholes in our intelligence mechanism besides revealing the nexus of politicians with negative forces. It’s these aspects which need to be dealt with by the mainstream media and legal enforcement agencies.
Social media which is not the part of paid media, dictated by politicians, should stop the great game played in name of empowerment of women and upliftment of minorities. It should honestly reveal the unsaid. Needles to state that most of the programmes in the garb of improving the lives of women and minorities have wrecked the citadels of Indian society. They both have become convenient way to enter in crude vote bank politics. The institutions like Supreme Court, High Court, and impartial bodies run by conscious citizens should come to the fore to prevent the nation from going to dogs. There is no other way left to make this nation safe from anti-social elements. The Muzaffarnagar riots have revealed that so-called politicians talking about honouring the ideals of democracy cannot be relied upon. They are dangerous wolves masquerading as human beings.

I remember my visit to Delhi in early 90s. I saw billboards which talked about helpline centers for harassed husbands. These billboards initially left me in a state of dismay but I soon realized their worth. It was an awakening of sorts for me, but a greater lot remained a sleeping giant! One of the most difficult tasks is to create a new vision by bringing a change in the attitudes and precepts governing the society. The conditioning of brainwaves, age-old retarded practices and worn-out ideas cannot be changed overnight. That’s why we need a mass movement in organized way to create a new path. The significance of men’s rights movement need to be understood in light of principles controlling mass movements of previous eras, which believed in the fact that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
The Indian society, or for that matter, societies across the globe are still heavily polarized in the favor of females. Men are still treated as supposedly stronger sex and women as a weaker lot, tormented and oppressed by the former. The paid media and government controlled public information services repeatedly churn out lies and manipulate the facts to sustain the myth that women alone face discrimination and harassment. Such anti-human practices ensured that the men’s rights movements be the order of the day! The way feminists employed dirty tricks to project female victim-hood and create mass hysteria ensured that a counter movement came in existence to counteract them effectively. The purpose of men’s movement was not only to eliminate the propaganda and white lies of feminist but to ensure that manhood got the respect it deserved.
Fortunately, the movement has been recognized as an emerging force but it needs to cover a long distance creating bodies and institutions on par with ones born out of feminist movements. It needs to topple biased International bodies, which are promoting anti-societal tendencies in the name of emancipation of women. The average class of people, solely confined to livelihood may not be able to establish this great conspiracy, but MRAs need to understand this dangerous game. This great game involves likes of Arundhati Roy who says that “the feudal India has a huge history and legacy of disrespect and violence against women.” These so-called movers and shakers are systematically destroying cherished Indian institutions. Besides that they are also eroding the self-esteem of men’s community by continuously showing them in bad light.

Ruth Wisse, a Professor at Harvard University, feels the same: “By defining between men and women in terms of power and competition instead of reciprocity and cooperation, the movement (read women’s liberation movement) tore apart the most basic and fragile contract in human society, the unit from which all other social institutions draw their strength.’ These wise gentlemen make it clear that men’s movement in India needs to be a perfect a mix of intellectual movement in league with revolutionary ways of shaking the institutions.
After all, the men’s organizations are not only against powerful lobby supported by governments in covert and overt fashion but they are also fighting the hidden enemy- one without a face! An enemy that uses government information services like Doordarshan to indulge in Ardhasatya ( Half truths) in name of “Satayameva Jayate” ( Truth Alone Prevails). Sometimes back New Delhi was hit by a rape. A committee got formed, which invited views from representatives of women’s and men’s bodies. Most of the representations there vilified men, and naturally the final recommendations went against the men. That’s the way how laws are passed in other cases. So whether it’s defining sexual harassment or shaping criminal jurisprudence in laws pertaining to property rights, maintenance rights and etc. the final outcome is always against the interest of men. The mother of all questions is: Are advocates of men’s rights fully prepared to fight such a powerful faceless enemy? And that too amid horrible and hopeless situation. Anyway, this terrible question provides a great permanence to the significance of movements related with men’s rights!
In India, the road to success for men’s rights movement is filled with virtually insurmountable obstacles. That’s because a vast section of men lives in villages whose lives are closely connected with prejudices and age-old beliefs related with “aham ( ego), sampatti ( property) and aurat ( woman)”. Coming to urban population, the society is chiefly divided into a great middle class and rich elite class. The former is deeply involved in struggles, pertaining to bread and butter, while the latter is completely submerged in ills flowing excess money supply. This class structure should make it very clear to MRAs that they need not to be sloppy while conveying the importance of having a movement for the rights of men. A lack of seriousness on their part might make their sincere efforts go in vain. After all, this age belongs to crude values hinging around materialism! So when you are advocating about finer values of newer types, like having a commission for men, one needs to demonstrate a high degree of logical precision side-by-side real seriousness. A louts emerges from mud. The associations related with men should borrow the spirit of lotus. Let them bloom amid such hopeless scenario. Instead of being discouraged, let’s use the disadvantages in our favor. That alone would keep the significance and relevance of men’s movement evergreen in a right way!
And these human rights have always been denied!

The world is not the right place for people endorsing out-of the-box thoughts. The world recognizes only stereotyped emotions. It’s not a pessimistic assertion but it’s a result of head on encounter with realism. It’s the essence which keeps natural earthly phenomenon in organized state. It’s the way which has happened in the past. Socrates told truth, and was offered poison! Galileo’s ideas which supported heliocentric world system were considered violation of Catholic Church teachings that the Earth was the center of the universe. That ensured a house arrest for Galileo for rest part of his life. India has also seen episodes wherein the exceptional souls faced the same disastrous consequences.
Meera challenged the monarchy by loving Krishna. She was put on trial by the near and dear ones. The ever-present God’s hand came to her rescue. Prahlad refused to gave way to his father’s belief that he was Supreme, and instead placed his faith in the Vishnu’s mystical power. That brought him against the powerful administration run by his father but as we all know Lord’s Vishnu incarnation as Narasimha came to establish as to who exactly controlled the universe.
It would not be wrong to suggest that “the way of this world is, to praise dead saints, and persecute living ones.” The moment one tries to rope in better ideas, a rush of mass of negativism tries to annihilate it. There may be some fortunate souls whom lady luck allowed to have fertile ground for execution of their dreams but for a greater lot the story has been to move from one conventional norm to another. For average souls, the world is okay. For them it had been an easy task to imbibe all contradictions and evils in name of “practical adjustment” but that’s not the case with people having heightened sensitiveness. Their own ethics prevents them from picking up anything and treating as its own. The so-called practical souls since they stand for nothing other than having deep faith in loose irrational principles are often hailed as pragmatist. “Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.” So they emerge as successful. They are the champions of pragmatism. They are the ones who are the real heroes for people trapped in livelihood struggles.
Lord Shiva: Truly Bold Thinker. He Accepts What The World Comes To Reject!
However, life is deadly ash. That’s why Lord Shiva’s whole body is smeared with deadly ash. Once you have a real interaction, absolute deadly realization, the ability to make fraudulent dealings gets wiped out totally. Your spirit refuses to participate in worldly affairs, not imbibing everything in name of changes of time. It becomes selective in conscious way. It’s like attaining the “Sthitpragya” state – the state of absolute equanimity attained as result of identification with highest consciousness in a perfect way. Lord Krishna has referred to it in Srimad Bhagvad Geeta:
Prajahati yada kaman sarvan partha mano-gatan
atmany evatmana tustah sthita-prajnas tadocyate
-Lord Krishna said, O Arjuna when gives up all desires for sense gratification produced within the mind and becoming satisfied by the realization of the self in the pure state of the soul; then it is said one is properly situated in perfect knowledge.
True, once that state is attained, the person with such a state of mind refuses to sway with happenings of the world. Nothing seems to change externally but the inner being of such a person undergoes revolutionary transformation. That might make him a failure from worldly materialistic evaluation but in kingdom of souls he is the king of souls like the God principle. He refuses to endorse the worldly orientations and instead walks all alone on path built of out-of-the-box thoughts.
Like always, the worldly temptations manifest for such a soul to distract him. No wonder, Swami Vivekananda treats the path of realization akin to walking on the razor’s edge. The seeker until realization dawns upon him should need to remain highly vigilant, maintaining high level of “viveka shakti”- the sense of making wise choices. In Bhagavad Geeta, Lord Krishna warns the seekers that they should not give way to superficial attainments by worshiping lesser Gods, and thus should not pay much attention to Vedic verses aimed at appeasing him.
Yavan artha udapane sarvatah samplutodake
tavan sarvesu vedesu brahmansya vijanatah (Chapt.2; Verse 46)
– All that is served in well of water is better served by a vast lake; similarly, all the purpose in all Vedic scriptures are realized to he who knows the ultimate truth.
So let’s learn to travel alone even as the route passes through worldly happenings, under the shadow of out-of-the-box thoughts with a conscious and alert mind.

गुजरात की बात होती है तो 2002 के दंगो का जिक्र अवश्य होता है। खासकर अगर सेक्युलर मीडिया गुजरात के बारे में कुछ कह रहा हो तो। जब भी मै सेक्युलर मीडिया द्वारा प्रायोजित इन चर्चाओ को सुनता हूँ तो इस उम्मीद में कि कभी इन सेक्युलर प्रवक्ताओ की आत्मा जागेगी और ये सच बोलेंगे। लेकिन ये लकीर के फकीर जड़ मानसिकता से लैस लोग सिवाय झूठ और अर्धसत्य के कुछ नहीं बताते। असल में इनका अस्तित्व ही झूठ की बुनियाद पे खड़ा है सो सच बोलना इनके लिए आत्मघाती सरीखा सा कदम हो जाता है। इसलिए 24 प्रतिशत हिन्दू जो मारे गए इन दंगो में इनके बारे में जिक्र करना ये कभी जरूरी नहीं समझते।
यहाँ पे मै कुछ बाते रख रहा हूँ जो मेरी बात बिलकुल नहीं है। ये बाते किसी चर्चा में मीनाक्षी लेखी ने रखी, जो भारतीय जनता पार्टी की राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता है। मुझे उनकी बाते सारगर्भित लगी। कम शब्दों में उन्होंने सेक्युलर झूठ को तार तार करने की एक सफल कोशिश की है। मै उनकी बातो को ठीक वैसा ही रख रहा हूँ जैसा कि उन्होंने चर्चा में व्यक्त किया। इसके लिए मै आभारी हूँ अपने सोशल मीडिया के मित्रो का जिन्होंने मुझे इन तथ्यों से परिचित कराने में मदद की।

“अंसारी का कहना है कि लोग अपने फायदे के लिए मेरे फोटो का उपयोग करते हैं। दंगों के कई साल बाद भी मुझे चैन नहीं है। लोगों ने मेरी शांति को नष्ट कर दिया है। मैंने जिंदगी में आगे बढ़ने की कोशिश की लेकिन कहीं न कहीं, कोई न कोई मेरा फोटो दिखाकर मुझे फिर पीछे मुड़कर देखने के लिए मजबूर करता है।अंसारी ने खुद को कलंक के रूप में पेश करने को लेकर फिल्म निर्माताओं को कानूनी नोटिस भी भेजा है। 38 साल के अंसारी खुद की तस्वीर को बार बार दिखाने से तंग आ चुका है। उसका कहना है कि मुझे दया के पात्र के रूप में दिखाया जाता है। मैं अपनी प्लास्टिक सर्जरी करवाना चाहता हूं ताकि लोग मुझे नहीं पहचान सके।”

JeremySeabrook: Never Missed To Say Right Words Always!
In the long writing career, spanning over nearly two decades, I got many chances to interact with enlightened minds and share with them a piece of my mind in matters pertaining to critical issues. A long back ago when I was regular contributor for The Statesman’s Viewpoint Column ( Calcutta Edition), I came in touch with Jeremy Seabrook who was then writing for one of its popular columns.
This conversation related with falling standards of education system took place after I came to read his article” Learning Revisited” published in The Statesman on March 14, 2005.

My Viewpoint:
Your write-up is an eye-opener, allowing one to reckon with the hidden facets of education. I am appalled at the manner in which institutions offering so-called gems of knowledge, which in reality are antithetical to creative tendencies lying latent within the recipients, have solidified their base. One reason for it could be that parents are now no longer interested in “value-oriented” teaching methods, simply because it stands in the way of attaining ‘name and fame’. No wonder this could be the reason behind the mind-boggling network of coaching factories, which are making huge profit in the name of offering conductive atmosphere for cracking the entrance tests.
This attitude of parents has brought a sea change in the attitude of present day students, who weigh everything in materialistic yardsticks or, in other words, in rupee:dollar ratio. After all, who has time for values in the fast-paced life of ours! The real quest for supreme knowledge would always remain a distant dream in absence of change of mindset, especially the parents. Well, it’s never too easy to change mindset without giving way to measures mired in transparent means. What has guaranteed failure of projects in this regard has been wide gap between theory and practice besides infrastructural bottlenecks. Let’s realize that mere propaganda is not going to solve this issue.
Unfortunately, this is what both Left and Right wings are used to. Their stances, diametrically opposite to each other, have wiped out the vigour of those wishing to make worthwhile contributions, so much so that if one does not yield to their outdated notions one is bound to invite troubles of all sorts. The message is clear: Rise above ideological fanaticism to stop the degradation of education system, something so imperative to prevent the innocent minds turning into robot.
Vivekananda rightly remarked that ” education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and run riot there, undigested, all life. We must have life-building, man-making, character-making assimilation of ideas”. Will anyone please translate this into reality?

Many thanks for your helpful and kind e-mail. Indeed, education has become not an end in itself, noble and worthwhile, but an instrument for material gain and industrial conformism. In this sense, of course, the educational system is only an emanation of the society that produces it, and an expression of the social values and mores of which it is a symptom. Intervention for change involves a complete change in the social and moral structures of globalism-no small thing, but a project we should not abandon simply because of its apparent attainability.

जब आम आदमी से आतंकवाद का फासला कम हो तो एक कसाब के हलाक़ होने पे जश्न व्यर्थ है
आम आदमी उतना ही डरा, सहमा है और आतंकी निशाने पे उसी तरह है जैसा कि पहले था। तो ये हम खुश किस बात पर हो रहे है?
हम भारतीयों का तीज त्योहारों से लगता है जी नहीं भरता है तभी तो एक दो कौड़ी के शख्स के मरने पर इतनी ख़ुशी व्याप्त है जैसे सिकंदर को विश्व विजय पर भी न हुई होगी। उस पर ये फटीचर भारतीय मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया, जिसमे हिंदी के अखबार तो प्रमुख रूप से शामिल है, इस खबर को ऐसे कैश कर रहे है, जो कि इनकी आदत है, जैसे प्रधानमन्त्री मनमोहन सिंह ने चुप्पी तोड़कर दमदार आवाज में बोलना प्रारंभ कर दिया हो। क्यों हम व्यर्थ के खुश होने के आदी हो चुके है। खुश होने के बजाय हमे पूरे प्रकरण को बहुत ही गंभीरता और सूक्ष्मता से समझने की जरूरत है। हमे उस तरह से इस को सनसनीखेज तरीके से नहीं समझना चाहिए जैसा कि मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया चाहता है कि हम समझे। आप देखे कि मेनस्ट्रीम मीडिया इस खबर को, खासकर हिंदी के अख़बार जो ग्रामीण परिवेश में ज्यादा पढ़े जाते है, इस खबर को मुख्य पृष्ठ पर इस तरह छापा है जैसे कि बैराक ओबामा ने लादेन को ढूंढकर मार डालने वाली कारवाई की थी अपने निगरानी में।
लेकिन यहाँ ऐसा कुछ नहीं था। बल्कि एक लचर न्यायिक प्रक्रिया के चलते एक ऐसे आदमी को जिसको चार साल पहले ही मर जाना चाहिए था को फांसी चार साल बाद हुई। इस चार साल में न जाने कितना सरकारी पैसा इसको खिलाने पिलाने और इसकी तगड़ी सुरक्षा व्यस्था में खर्च हुआ होगा जो कुछ और नहीं आप और हमसे लिया गया टैक्स था। लेकिन दर्शाया ये जा रहा है जैसे कांग्रेस सरकार कितनी प्रतिबद्ध है आतंकवाद के खात्मे के प्रति कि उसके लगभग हर मोर्चे पे नाकाम प्रधानमंत्री ने कोई बहुत बढ़ी फतह हासिल कर ली हो। अगर इतनी ही प्रतिबद्ध है तो अफज़ल को इसके पहले मर जाना चाहिए था, हमारी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को पहले से और सुदृढ़ किया जा चूका होता पर हमारा सुरक्षा तंत्र आज भी उतना ही लचर है जितना बम्बई पर हमले के समय था। आम आदमी उतना ही डरा, सहमा है और आतंकी निशाने पे उसी तरह है जैसा कि पहले था। तो ये हम खुश किस बात पर हो रहे है?
ये बिका हुआ मीडिया हमें असल मुद्दों से हटाकर गुमराह कर रहा है। आपको स्वीट पाइजन देकर इन भ्रामक खबरों के जरिये आपसे असल सवालात करने की काबिलियत को छीन रहा है। बाल ठाकरे से हम भले ही नफरत करते हो, मै भी उग्र विचारधारा का होने के कारण समर्थक नहीं हूँ ठाकरे की विचारधारा का, पर उसकी ये बात पते की है कि इन आतंकवादियों को पकड़ो और वही शूट कर दो। जो खुले आम गोली चलाता दिख रहा हो, जिसके चेहरे पर कुटिल मुस्कान थी लोगो को छलनी करते वक्त उसको आपने ट्राइल के जरिये चार साल बाद मारा और वो भी तब जब राष्ट्रपति ने दया याचिका खारिज कर दिया तब। और ये भी तब संभव हुआ जब उज्जवल निकम जैसे वकीलों ने रात दिन एक कर डाला कि कोई बिंदु छूटने न पाए। ये हमारी कमजोरी को दर्शा रहा ना कि हमारी प्रतिबद्धता को। प्रतिबद्धता तब झलकती है जब लादेन को अमेरिका मारता है ढूंढ के बिना किसी ट्राइल के, जब सद्दाम को मारा जाता है अपने कितने सैनिको की कुर्बानी के बाद, जब आप दूसरे के देश में ड्रोन हमले करते है क्योकि इनको मारना आपकी जरुरत बन गयी है, और हमले फिर ना हो आपके यहाँ सुरक्षा तंत्र इतना सख्त हो कि वक्त पड़ने पर दूसरे देश के राजनयिक को भी नंगा करके तलाशी लिया जा सके और कोई कुछ ना कर सके। ये कहलाती है प्रतिबद्धता!
सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को लगभग चुनौती देते हुएँ लश्करे-ए-तोइबा के कमांडर ने फ़ोन पर एक न्यूज़ एजेंसी को ये बताया कि कसाब उनका हीरो है और भविष्य में ऐसे और हीरो पैदा होंगे। पाकिस्तान में तालिबान मूवमेंट के संचालक को भी गहरा सदमा लगा है कि एक मुसलमान भारत की धरती पर इस तरह हलाक़ हो गया है। और इधर पाकिस्तान की विदेश मंत्री अभी भी इस नौटंकी में लिप्त है कि हमको भारत वो सबूत दे जो कोर्ट में साबित किये जा सके तो हम किसी ठोस कार्यवाही को अंजाम दे। और इधर भारत का कहना है कि हमने तो सब सबूत पहले ही उपलब्ध करा दिया है। इन सब के बीच इमरान खान की पार्टी ने कसाब की मृत्यु को दिल पर लेते हुएं“टेरोरिस्ट” सरबजीत सिंह को तुरंत फांसी पर लटकाने की मांग कर डाली है। ये देखिये पाकिस्तान की आतंकवाद से लड़ने की दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति का नमूना कि सरबजीत सिंह “टेरोरिस्ट” है पर कसाब सिर्फ “गनमैन” था। और भारतीय सेक्युलर अखबार द हिन्दू की माने तो भूख और गरीबी से पैदा हुआ बेचारा।
द इकनोमिक टाइम्स में छपे कैबिनेट स्तर के भूतपूर्व भारतीय अधिकारी बी रमन का लेख आतंकवाद से लड़ने के हमारे दावो की पोल खोल के रख देता है।इस वरिष्ठ अधिकारी का कहना है कि हम 26/11 के पहले भी सॉफ्ट स्टेट थें, 26/11 के बाद भी है और कसाब के मृत्यु के बाद भी वही है। ये सरकार सिर्फ इसका राजनैतिक लाभ लेगी ये भूलकर कि इंडियन मुजाहिदीन के द्वारा हर प्रमुख शहरों में स्लीपर सेल्स आज भी ऑपरेट कर रहे है। इस अधिकारी का ये कहना है जब तक इस षड़यंत्र से जुड़े सारे दोषियों को नहीं सजा दी जाती, उस पूरे ढाँचे को ध्वस्त नहीं किया जाता जिसके आका पाकिस्तान में बैठे है तब तक एक कसाब के मरने से क्या होगा और अफ़सोस यही है कि इस सरकार ने पाकिस्तान पर कोई कारगर दवाब नहीं बनाया।
सो एक कसाब के मरने पर हम खुश क्यों है? इतना मुझे पता है कि इस आतंकवाद नाम के दानव को खत्म करने के लिए जिसको ईधन पाकिस्तान से मिलता है तब तक नहीं खत्म होगा जब तक इंदिरा गांधी जैसी बोल्ड राजनयिक का साथ जनरल सैम मानेकशा/ के पी एस गिल/जगमोहन जैसे कुशल अधिकारी के साथ गठजोड़ नहीं होता है। इस ढुलमुल नीति वाले सरकार जो एक घोटाले से दूसरे घोटाले तक बिन पैंदी के लोटे की तरह लुढ़क रही है इससें कोई क्या उम्मीद रखे? तब तक जनता जनार्दन ऐसे ही किसी हमले के लिए तैयार रहे। या फिर उस सरकार को चुने जो कसाबो और अफ्ज़लो को पनपने का मौका ही ना दे।
तो ये है इस देश का माहौल कि ऐसे बुद्धिजीवी है जो कसाब की मौत को असंवैधानिक तक बता डाल रहे है। आप आतंकवाद से क्या ख़ाक लड़ेंगे?
