Chandrapal S Bhasker Although we have to fight for the rights of Indian Hindu men, we must remember that marriage from it’s inception has been an exploitative and oppressive institution for the men. That is, marriage was a pact where woman gives exclusive access to her reproductive and sexual capacities to a man in lieu of socio-economic and psycho-sexual power. This ignores the fact that she always aways the reproductive and sexual capacity of the man but does not offer anything in return.

Marriage was simply an attempt by men to counter the hypergamous “nature” of women which has been exhibited by them throughout the written history. If remained unchecked hypergamy of women simply structures society into a harem society where few men and all women reproduce on the basis of the labour of the most men who are assigned to produce.

Marriage and gynocentric family needs to be abandoned in favour of pro-male relationships and family. This obviously will require political, social as well as emotional courage from men.

    Author’s Response:

Well, I agree in totality with your sentiments minus the portion wherein you speak about abandonment of marriage!! We need to retain this institution, making it more balanced..I know it’s a tough task in present scenario but when I view other alternatives I do not find it that tough!!!

    Author’s Response:

Being a student of Indian philosophy, I believe life is a pretty short affair, and, therefore, trying hard to lend some meaning to my existence by identifying with some issues haunting my nation in a serious way…And I hope future generations will do the rest- things which we could not do in our own time!! I hope so!!

And yes, many thanks for this appreciation..I am no movie star who seeks appreciation from a large crowd always appreciating the movie star for the wrong reasons😛 I am happy that few who come to appreciate my work are people who have genuine persona with substantial achievements in their respective field. Don’t forget I still remember your voluminous comments which left opponents in debate fumbling for right set of arguments!!

Great work! But men’s rights is in its infancy and needs to travel a long way before it sees real, equality with women….

    Author’s Response:

Yes, I realize lot needs to be done..However, the most important thing is beginning..A certain consciousness has emerged in this regard and I am sure it would attain full circle the desired way…
