An Interaction With Ethereal Wonder In My Village (Photo Story Part II)

I am really glad that the conscious readers worldwide made their presence felt on part I of this photo story. Although I have not learnt photography in professional way, I came to learn few tricks in company of expert photographers who also happened to be my friends. I realize photography is an excellent way to capture emotions which cannot be conveyed through words. My association with my village transcends the limit of words. It’s very very deep one. Luckily enough, I have found creative mediums to manifest the intrinsic elements of this emotional bond with my village. Indian villages are still the best place to discover real India. My village is no exception. However, what makes my village unique is the divine presence of Ganges in its full splendour.  And I am sure if I venture again on this planet in my next births this alone be my place of birth and my karmabhoomi too ( a place where one is professionally involved).

This road leads straight to home built by my ancestors in the heart of villlage Kanaura. This road is right in front of my new home at the fields.

That's the most common scene you notice on village roads...Love Cows..Love their owners- the gwalas...However, what I hate is that they mix so much water in milk that when I prepare tea I do not feel the need to add water :P

That's the defunct canal which runs side by side to both metal road and muddy road leading to my village..I remember in my childhood it was so alive with waters of Ganges..Now no one uses it anymore! Ganges does not have sufficient waters to sustain it..

I have always been fascinated by train travels, especially in rural India. No better way to know India than travelling by train and hopping down on unscheduled stops to explore the country. In fact, I’m planning a series of a photo essay on train travels in the near future.

Your appreciation says all about the worth of this post🙂 You have virtually reiterated the words of Mahatma Gandhiji…Photo essay on train travels is a wonderful idea…Do materialize it!!!

    Author’s Response:

Hope you are fine….These type of creativity demands appearance of readers like you on my post….I am happy that you people are always there to appreciate the worth of any post in true way…

  6. Arvind, you are lucky to be able to return to your village while it, seemingly, still remains much as you remember it. In “progressive” societies, there is no such opportunity.

    1. Dear Ian,

Many thanks for your thought-provoking view..I can very well relate with your anguish targeted at the mindless progress in modern progressive societies coming at cost of flora and fauna..That’s one of the reasons why I am very happy that currents of time in my village have remained cut off from the waves of modernity..In fact, many in my nations ridiculed Mahatma Gandhi when he opined that villages should be isolated from the happenings in city by limiting the access to villages…Anyway, I wish to resettle in my village. At least, I will remain in sync with beauty of nature! As told earlier in first part of the story that with arrival of satellite channels, new form of telecommunications etc. the life style and thought patterns in villages have seen drastic change in last few decades. They have become as corrupt and complicated as the ones prevailing in cities. So the villages are not as ideal place to live as they were used to be in past. Even in this post you can see how trespassers have encroached upon my ancestral land by using it for their personal gains.

However, since my bond with village is too deep to be shaken by negative developments, I prefer to move in there in near future..

Anyway, really happy that this photo story caught your attention🙂..Thanks for letting me aware of your anguish…

  7. Author’s Words For Carmenji, Lima, Peru:

This status written in strict tone is not meant for readers like you who are not only conscious but also have an eye for beauty🙂 Anyway, I am happy that because of Lords’s grace I am able to do some real good work on par with global standards despite being marred by lack of resources and tough times. I am sure had I merely stated about the beauty of my village in words alone minus photos not many would have believed it ( in fact, I have already written in earlier posts about my village) …Now photos are there as evidence that I was not at all overstating when I said I lived in a beautiful village…

Once again thanking all the pretty conscious readers like you who like always never fail to visit my post despite facing constraints of time like me…This post too has gained huge popularity amid the readers…It makes me feel good …

    Author’s Response:
