Tearing Apart The Politics Of Gender Disguised As Gender Equality!

Indian Men Always Had Nice Time When They Left Their Homes!

I am neither misogynist nor anti-feminist, and not even a Men’s Rights Activist (MRA). Many of my friends working for these organisations feel I should be one like them in a formal way, but being on a different route, I prefer not to identify with any organization, be they ones from spiritual or political background. So it would be useless to measure the worth of author’s views as someone acting as mouthpiece of any organization. Let’s not forget that to come up with entirely different set of facts, a different version of reality not in tune with set patterns, is not bizarre. On the contrary, it’s the result of  having viewed the world from close angles! An open mind would certainly realize it. To follow a different route does not make anyone regressive, biased, much less a Talibani with a capacity to issue a fatwa! Ridiculous assertion!

Why should every analyst of our times present a syrupy version of happenings taking place in world of present times women, wherein “every bad thing any man has ever committed highlighted and exaggerated; every bit of good systematically undermined, vilified or ignored”? It’s only that I feel inclined to represent the cause of men, not out sense of any “same gender” feeling but only from justice point of view, which demands that other side should also be heard well. It’s the other side of the fence that I am presenting with total sincerity, different perspective and neutral stance !

कुछ नहीं दिखता था अंधेरे में मगर, आंखें तो थीं,
ये कैसी रोशनी आई कि सब अंधे हो गए।।

(Though we cannot see in dark with our eyes,
It’s strange that we cannot see even as there is light around us)….

Feminism, as a movement, was started in late nineteenth century to demand female rights in society. “At the end of the nineteenth century was that women began to realize that it is unfair for them to be constantly under the power of men simply because the social system has traditionally  favored  males.”  At this point, it’s inappropriate to discuss the impact of this movement in West, but this movement seems to have lost its impact there in modern times. May be because women have gained enough rights there but, in my eyes, it’s because both have realized well that battle of the sexes serves no purpose other than  breeding animosity. “To know the road ahead, ask those coming back”.

The Indian women, who have misplaced beliefs that having all the rights ensures better days should, at least, have the guts to critically analyze the impact of such divisive and lethal movement in Western societies.  Anyway, it’s better that I confine myself to Indian landscape. It’s better to understand the essential elements of Indian society, viewing it not through the myopic terms coined by the so-called progressive elements, but in a conscious way to tear apart the great game of gender equality. It’s interesting that many arguments have been forwarded to show the worth of female mind. Many love to cite the growing academic excellence of Indian women as one of the parameters to upheld the intellectual superiority of women. However, wisdom and real understanding have nothing to do with academic excellence. Many of the great contributors, in fact, nearly all creative geniuses, were very poor in academic terms plus they were never part of institutionalized structures. I say that not to lessen the importance of academic excellence but to highlight the worth of education offered in Indian schools and universities, which are killing all the good elements which a child possesses.

The Indian society might have so-called patriarchal model but it’s a sheer diabolical myth that it was framed to suppress the position of women, much less, exploit the women. The Indian society has always been women-centered society. The concept like “”Ardhanareeswara”, aimed at equality of women, which ensured that Shiva  without  female principle “Shakti” means nothing, always made Indian women enjoy dignified position in Indian society. Even in modern Indian Hindu families, having a balanced and sensible approach, the women always gain upper hand in all issues. All important issues have her consent, wherein her views gain as much importance than any male member. Have a look at the marriage vows. They in clear terms ensure that women come to enjoy an equal ground.

That is – “Oh dear! On this auspicious occasion of our life, I take your hand in mine in the presence of invoked deities. Oh blessed woman! You be with me as a fortunate partner for a very long time. I hand over the control of my family in your hands, discharge your duties joyously.”

It’s a fallacious assertion that men enjoyed privileges in past while the women remained an oppressed lot. “Society is largely constructed for the benefit of women and children and always has been, otherwise it doesn’t survive. …It takes a gigantic lack of imagination (usually the sole province of baby feminists) to believe that women wanted the economic and political involvement they claim now when the demands and risks of these endeavours were as they were then (ancient times)”. The Indian society is also no exception. It’s always portrayed as if women in the past were some sort of domestic slaves, devoid of any sort of right to decide by themselves. Well, such a claim can only be made by people who have not bothered to know Indian society in its entirety. Even the most ancient ladies in Indian history had the right to chose their husbands via a ceremony called Swyamvara. The women were well versed in scriptural knowledge and many among them were qualified scholars.

True, with advent of time many of the glorious traditions (the great spirit which led to their origin) faded away to give way to their corrupt versions. It would not be out of place to mention that practice like dowry was basically the Streedhan to ensure that a woman is “not left wanting anything after the wedding”. The impression of men being unconcerned about the rights of  women is quite powerfully projected but lesser known aspect is that men have played an instrumental role in any movement aimed at improvement of women. The greatest example in this category is abolition of Sati Pratha and banning of child marriages. Anyway, the division in labour in Indian society was done by the sages, who played an impartial role while framing laws related with basic structure of Indian society. It favoured none.

These women are also from patriarchal set up. Can't you bear their happiness?

These women are also from patriarchal set up. Can’t you bear their happiness?

Had Indian society been truly patriarchal in nature, as suggested by new age scholars, it would have never led to emergence of bold Indian women who always played equal role in Indian society. Be they queens of ancient era, or the women freedom fighters of pre-Independence era, the Indian women played a significant role. It would not have been possible had women been denied the right to make choices. The modern Indian society is facing new set of complexities but the solution is not devaluation of ancient practices. The empowerment of Indian women does not mean women be entitled to make arbitrary choices on the grounds that men also did the same! In fact, it presupposes that men enjoyed unlimited freedom of all sorts. It’s totally false and erroneous notion. Their choices were also determined by the prescribed rules, keeping in mind the interests of women and children. Let’s be clear that the empowerment of women does not mean to give way to propaganda that “women alone have sufferings and women alone have problems in life”.

At present, the situation has become pretty confusing and dangerous for the growth of Indian society.  The men are being repeatedly portrayed as abusers, leading to anti-family and anti-marriage laws. Indeed, there are problems related with Indian women but then effective measures in form of stringent laws are already there to take note of them. There are many institutions to take care of plight of women, whose recommendations have led to new rules, fresh amendments and etc. in form of Domestic Violence Act, Dowry Act and Maintenance Act, to name a few. In  Vishaka v. State of Rajasthan, the Supreme Court of India in 1997 laid down the guidelines to ensure that sexual harassment at the workplace does not take place, which resulted in framing of the “The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Bill, 2012”. The problems pertaining to women are being systematically dealt with, and much of the problems have not arisen out of lack of concern for the cause of women in Indian society, but because of lack of effective implementation. So it’s really shrewd to suggest that patriarchal society favours men!

Let’s understand that in name of personal freedom and personal choices one cannot give way to lifestyle which ensures conflicts and dilemmas of disturbing nature. A choice has to be in league with prevalent norms and customs. Or else, women need to effectively satisfy that their choices would not lead to turbulent state of affairs. There is nothing like absolute freedom. She has to convince what would be the state of affairs in such a society, which allows women unrestricted freedom in name of personal choices? That’s because, if there comes no plausible explanation, and still we went in for such a society, it would be hard to wipe out the new set of complexities. That’s the case in other parts of the hemisphere. To see the resistance offered by men, or by the people belonging to old order of living patterns as an attempt to hold back the privileges enjoyed in the patriarchal set-up is not the right interpretation. It’s also not fear to lose the power or monopoly. On the contrary,  it’s an attempt to prevent the citadels of society from crumbling down.

It’s simply not issue of having choices/making choices in free manner; it’s more about long term consequences of having choices, which indicate the high probability of single women, pills, abortions, extra-marital relations, same-sex relations, stress-related burdens, broken families, deviant kids and etc.? What about the dangerous interference in the evolutionary process, wherein for ages men played the role of protector and women the role of nurturing the kids? With this kind of perverted “role reversal”, are’t we on the wrong track? One of my friends, during gender related conversation, referring to Sunita Williams ( as if only after that Indian women learnt the art to make exceptional choices) stated that she did not have kids for the sake of work! It would be suffice to say that if all women made such a choice, it would not be hard to imagine the fate of evolution of human species! However, this is classic example of selective approach, wherein a woman seeks benefits of traditional society when she feels trapped by her weaknesses but she is absolutely modern when it comes to making choices and rights. That’s paradox at its best since.

After all, it involves taming of the men species to ensure that inequality gets reduced! That has begun in a cruel fashion. Men are now supposed to do something which is never their strength, and a retaliatory gesture on their part is enough to get them the tag of being an abuser and an oppressor! Who will bear the consequences of  “placing men and women in a conflicting role and creating confusion in values”? But that’s still not as ominous as an attempt to create a society which denies even the right to protest on part of men.  “Under cover of the notion of chivalry, as understood by Modern Feminism, Political and Sentimental Feminists alike would deprive men of the most elementary rights of self-defence against women and would exonerate the latter practically from all punishment for the most dastardly crimes against men. They know they can rely upon the support of the sentimental section of public opinion with some such parrot cry of: “Treat a woman in this way!”/   “What! Hit a woman!”.

Indian Men And Women Have Always Lived And Worked Happily Together. Don't destroy their lives via rights.

Indian Men And Women Have Always Lived And Worked Happily Together. Don’t destroy their lives via rights.

It’s interesting that women learnt to move out of their houses, refusing to remain confined to prison like state of affairs within the home, and began to notice that world outside is a different affair altogether. It missed the “having all the pleasure factor” which they had assumed prevailed in men’s life as they began to venture outside. The world would remain a hell’s replica and it would not going to change whether women remains inside the home or moves outside, fulfilling their aspirations and dreams in fullest manner. However, having said that, let’s make the world safer and better for the women community.  Nobody said that problems pertaining to women’s life, be they of any type, sexual assault, low wages, discrimination, should be ignored.

What I wish to suggest is that while dealing with women’s issues, the gender politics should not get mixed with the reforms. An attempt to distort the intimate relationship with men and women should not become the prime motive in guise of welfare. Sadly, that’s how one feels while analyzing the current state of affairs, wherein right from biological facts, psychological facts and legal truths, all are being  selectively quoted, or quoted in perverted manner to suit the vested interests acting as agents of change in world of women.

That’s why all conscious souls, interested in right developments, should become alert when “there is no distinction between potential and probability. An allegation suffices for proof. Hearsay is taken for gospel.” (Charles E. Corry). Rohan,  Men’s Rights activist, Bangalore, conveys the same sentiments in a different way: ” Women have the right to be seated when in a bus or in a train. They have the right to 50% reservation in govt. jobs and academics. They have the right to claim alimony and maintenance, even in a live-in relationship. They have only  rights and men only have duties. This is called equality, according to feminazis.”

Precisely, it’s for the very same reason it  has become need of the hour to present the happenings taking place in world of men in an aggressive and conscious manner. The happier side of the movements aimed to improve the life of women has been “demolition of the idea that women are inherently nice”.  The thing that’s now taking place is that discrimination and abuse stories related with women are being presented both in right and wrong way, with help of paid media. Facts, right and wrong, are flowing thick and past to show that how women have been underprivileged and suppressed lot. No one is bothered to check either the authenticity of facts nor the source, forget about probing them from wide angles.

Anyway, since all this is  happening in the name of ensuring a better world for women, I am but compelled to endorse them. But with a condition and appeal: Let’s also reveal the true picture of the sufferings, pains, humiliation, torture faced by men side-by-side the stories which talk about sufferings of women, with the same honesty and intensity! That alone will  bring the true story, true picture. At present, we are witnessing with abuse stories related with women only. That’s unfair to hear/see only one side in any story and jump to flawed conclusions applicable to totality.

Why such a wish irks those concerned with rights of women?  Will society be a better place only if you enable the women to have all the rights? Why shouldn’t the rights of men be discussed in the same breath? Why should not adequate attention be paid to silent sufferings of men? It leaves me aghast that tragedies, stories of discrimination associated with men, their precarious state of affairs being involved in hazardous and tough activities and regular interaction with dilemmas and ironies of peculiar type are being talked about in matter-of-fact tones. Worse, any attempt to bring the truth get checkmated by giving the impression that since men are about to lose the power, lose the privileges, these are reactionary backlash. That’s an absurd and fleeting observation. The right interpretation is that men have now begun to get organized to make “gender equality”  attain a right shape, a right balance, a right  proportion. And this would never stop.

P.S.:  Many thanks to my  friend, Rohan, whose views  I have borrowed from the conversation we had on Instablogs on one of my posts having the same theme. He is Men’s Rights Activist hailing from  Bangalore.

Most of the hazardous jobs in the world including digging coal, putting out fires, fighting floods, saving people drowning in a boat and most of the filthy jobs are done by men

Men die sooner than women and this is true in India, check the insurance premiums for men and women of same habits + same age you will see male premium is higher

Still the world thinks the abla naari is disadvantaged.

The only hope for honest men is to stay like Bheesma Pitamaha….

Many thanks..It’s a long article but I have done a hard work to write that way. Facts…Arguments..Everything is there…Just read a women activist’s view named Nirmala Sharma..She might be unknown entity but her views are tongue-in-cheek:

    1. Vishal Sabharwal, why should women alone be given protetcion? What about protection of men? Are men second-class citizens? Where is gender equality? Does gender equality entail treating en like stray dogs? More men die due to criminal assault than women; still you are obsessed with protection of women. That is absurd.

  3. Thank you for posting on it. Strange in a nation of over 1/2 a billion men, men harassment, torture, pain never discussed at all. Western feminists import – the white woman’s burden – and GF/Wife 1st culture have brainwashed Indian men.

    1. @ Warrior For Justice

Now some people have awakened up to offer strong resistance.. Once you start moving, sooner or later, destination arrives..Until now, men were confused lot..However, now they have realized that a delay would only mean a permanent slavery, having all rights to protest confiscated by law..So now I see a ray of hope…

      1. @ Warrior For Justice

…And thanks for becoming follower of my blog :p

    2. Basically one needs to understand that today’s feminists and women seek the advantages of tradition and modernity when it suits them. They keep abusing and kicking tradition in the day and sleep with it at night. They claim gender equality when it suits them and claim that they are “women” and “weaker sex” when it does not suit them. So, feminists are fooling men. Until and unless men wake up, we will continue to be slaves of women.

      1. @ Men’s Rights

The problem is that in company of women for most of them ignorance is bliss :p… And that’s why you would always find feminists fooling men!!

Woman freedom carries meaning only if education is able to produce Chaste women. Of what use are the unchaste women anyway. Just like in western countries u find so many abandoned women having lot of children from lot of boyfriends and then begging for social security from Govt. That’s what most people think freedom is all about. Basis of a strong woman is her character , everything else is secondary.
But in this age of Kali Men are so Lusty and so are women because of improper education , nasty food and nonsense parenting. So u have university passouts highly qualified people addicted to drinking , drugs , prostitution etc. Now of what use is such education that produces degraded men and women. Earlier in Vedic Culture Brahmacharya was essentially practiced till one attained 25 yrs age. But now people think its gud that if father and son drink together. Now that’s called freedom ?? Someone addicted to sex is considered enjoying life. Now by those standards dogs and bitches enjoy much more than humans. They r free to do all this. Anytime and every time , everywhere.

    Author’s Response:

True…Nothing left for me to speak😦

    1. There aren’t any abandoned women in the west. They are women who just leave their boy friends and live separately. They also file false cases of marital rape and domestic violence against their boy friends and claim maintenance from them. The poor bfs suffer in jail. This is the reality.

With regard to Brahmacharya, those were the days when intense spiritual practices were committed and women would never show-off their bodies in public the way they do now. Marriage used to take place much earlier than age 25.

The VEDIC society was always democratic, highly scientific and healthy civilization, not like todays time, what is happening, CHAOS. They knew how to live in harmony or cosmos or DHARM.. Now in today’s time, men have been enslaved in a soft manner, because the so called reformists have created or imposed certain guidelines for men, in the name of feminism, frankly speaking…

Crux of the matter is that there is nothing wrong with HINDUS OR SANATANI society, it is only the FOE of SANATAN DHARM who try to show it as a PARIAH/DEVILISH thing…..

I love to expose the myth and hypocrisy of the reformists, social activists, leader. They say that all children in india have right to education, then why do they discriminate the kids while taking admission on the basis of money? IS not the workers kid eligible to study? but they will say, ‘YE LOG TO NAHATE NAHI HAI, GANDA RAHTE , they are GAREEB’

It is a well thought out piece, the only bit I fundamentally disagree with is the assertion that feminism has run its course in the west. It surely hasn’t (e.g., they are even now seriously considering the idea of closing women’s prisons in the UK) but that is not the focus of your article so a minor objection only.

India is presented to the outside by the media, and even ex-pats, as a highly mysoginistic place, a point now being enforced through a willing media looking to exploit every gang rape or mistreatment of women as a sign of an endemic problem, while ignoring completely the plight of men. The few do a great injustice to the many in this case. Indeed, it fuels the fire of feminism in the west since while their flame here has not gone out it lacks the fuel to burn brighter because the needle has already gone past “equal”. It is now common to hear a western feminist cite India as a reason why the world still needs feminism.

    Author’s Response:

Now that’s called ideal and genuine criticism🙂..I appreciate your take on my article..Just a minor clarification on my part…When I said that feminism has run its course in West, I simply meant that people in West have begun to realize well its flaws..In India, people are still pretty optimistic about its effectiveness. The realization regarding its ominous consequences is still missing. In West, a large section has realized that it’s a nuisance.

    1. Feminism and the west seem to suggest that if men are not slaves of women, it is a highly misogynist state. But if men are indeed slaves, as in the west, it is an equal society. But feminism is still needed anyway because men are still bad people. LOL

Pls refrain from passing judgement. I have been working for more than a decade in healthcare and strongly feel for women and children. I can see that you feel strongly for men and want to fight for their rights, good enough; but don’t compare women’s oppression with men’s. More than 95% women suffer through some or the other oppression in their life and the percentage is not even remotely comparable to men’s. Statistics can prove the same.

See the point is, you are saying exactly the same thing that Muslim /Hindu religious leaders have been saying. There is no difference; you are just trying to sound intellectual, ie. Women should confine to their roles…should look after household…will not become lesser and that patriarchy is good and accepted and is the way of life. I don’t think so. If women have the capability they have the right to make their choices. They want to marry or not/want to have kids or not/ want to work or not/ how many kids they want…all these decisions a women or a man can and should make. What difference does it make to anyone if Sunita Williams doesn’t want to have kids? She is living her life, doing commendable work, making India proud! If a lady who is skilled, getting family support and loves to work, why should anyone have issues? There are women who like to be house makers, fine, their choice….to each it’s own.

Today women own less than 2% asset or have bank balance. They don’t have right on themselves forget anything else! You think situation of women has improved pls provide facts and lets analyze how much improvement has happened. It’s high time women should sharpen their skills, intellect and become financially independent and men to start helping in taking care of the household and at least older kids!
When a female calf is born in a village household, there is so much happiness and when a female child is born in the same household a sudden sadness grips…have you witnessed it? I have. There is no rocket science required to understand the same! It’s simple…everything in this world ultimately is so materialistic. People go after monetary gains. This is not the reason I’m giving for women to earn but just that it sadly reflects the mentality of society.

Sunita Krishnan’s talk on sex slavery from the TED archives. Still as hard hitting. Still as poignant.

Winding up the conversation from my side with words that keep doing the good work in your field!! And yes, passing judgments/framing arguments are integral part of legal profession and while doing that it’s ensured that they do not sound “regressive” and “biased”!!

Lastly, one clarification..Don’t assume or presume- i.e. over-read- what’s not been communicated. Neither myself nor my article has anywhere stated women should not make choices. I repeat once again that my standpoint is not aimed at curtailing the choice of man and woman. On the contrary, it’s more about” implications” of making a certain choice. It applies to man equally.

Nothing more to say. Happy talking to you. Reiterate: Keep doing the good work.

    1. @Saumya, I do not know when will women learn to out grow this female victimhood concept. You have asked the author to prove statistics. Do you know the fact that more than 3-5 times the number of victims of suicide are men and not women. Do you know that married men’s suicide rate is higher than unmarried men’s suicide rate? You have spoken about you being in the healthcare. Can you tell me how much money is being spent by the govt. for men and for women? Let me tell you – for men, the amount spent is ZERO. For women, its in terms of thousands of crores every year for health care and more. There are ministries for women at the center and in every state. No ministry for men. Where is the equality? Regarding statistics, there is acute imbalance in collection of statistics in the case of crimes committed by women on men and crimes committed by men on women. If a complaint is lodged about a crime committed by a man on a woman, the complaint is mostly cognisable, very often non-bailable and non-compoundable. But if a complaint is lodged about a crime committed by a woman on a man, the case is mostly non-cognisable. It means, no congisance is taken in the case of crimes committed by women on men. It also means, there is no record of crimes committed by women on men in the National crimes records bureau (even if the cases are genuine). On the other hand, even a false case filed by a woman gets recorded as a case of crime against a woman in the NCRB. So where is the gender equality? Stats is being manipulated by wrongful collection of data and laws. Laws are highly biased in favour of women. So, your pointer to stats is meaningless when data collection itself is manipulated, laws are wrong and society is biased in favour of women.

Next, with regard to choice, do men have a choice? Do men have a choice to sit at home and become househusbands? No. Society does not accept it. Women themselves do not want it although they may claim in theory, in practice they want their husbands and bfs to be money-making machines. While they want to keep the choice of working or being housewives to themselves. It is female privilege. What happens during divorce? Man ends up paying alimony and maintenance to his estranged wife even if she has cheated him, even if the child is not his own. He has all kinds of false allegations like 498A, DV against him and laws are misused by women to extort as much as possible. This is worse than dowry harassment. The govt is legally allowing women to torture their hubbies. So your contention that more than 95% of women are suffering is a lie. It is a white lie which feminists keep claiming to pressurise society to make more and more laws against men and then indulge in dawood ibrahim style hafta wasool. This is a trick.

Again, with regard to your contention that women should have the choice and work, let me tell you that this so-called choice seems to be very selective to white-collared jobs. All the dangerous and difficult jobs are meant only for men. I have personally experienced this in various walks of my life. Whenever some difficult or physically streneous work is to be done, men are called. Moreover, where were the demands for equality in work when there were no machines, no electricity, no phones, no water in the taps, when providing meant risking lives, when each day was a date with a wild animal? When life was not as comfortable, women were happy to stay inside the safe confines of the homes while asking the men to struggle and bring home food. Now, there are cars, machines, white-collared jobs. So you want equality. This is the height of fraud. Nothing less.

Women own less than 2% is absolute rubbish. Let me ask you how much do men own? How much does the govt and corporates own? How much do pvt companies own? Moreover, our culture mandates men to take care of women. So, even if a house is in the name of a man, the woman automatically gets to stay in it and that property gets transferred in her name at the time of death of the husband. Same with bank balance.

Do men have any right on themselves? They have been treated as disposable free atm machines and unpaid bodyguards of society. Where are the freedoms for men? Before you speak, think. Instead of parroting feminist lies.

Yes, women’s position has improved from being protected and provided to being the misuser of laws against men. From being a content housewife to being an aggressive, demanding, bitchy feminist.

Yes, men will help in household chores the day women are ready to marry unemployed men, are ready to pay maintenance and alimony to men. The day women seek equality in dangerous, low-paying, physically enduring and risky jobs. Are you ready?

With regard to female child, you are using some rural examples and applying it to all of the world. The same way as feminists use poor, deprived rural, uneducated women to seek benefits. laws and funds for themselves. So, we have cases of socialites misusing the anti-dowry law, DV law and alimony/maintennce laws to usurp the property of the husband – all in the name of the rural woman.

Yes, Saumya, our society, infact our world needs to change its attitude – towards men and stop treating them as free ATM and unpaid bodyguards of society. Our society needs to stop pampering the feminazis before these femi+nazis destroy the society by killing gender harmony. Men and women have been pitted against each other on the false premise that women alone are deprived and oppressed, igniting hatred into the minds of women like Saumya. Women like Saumya refuse to see the other side of oppression which is far more than the female side.

I cannot wake up a person who pretends to be asleep. I can only wake up a person who is actually asleep.

Sunita williams – let women stop kicking tradition in the day and sleep with it at night. Let women stop playing this fraud of taking advantage of tradition and modernity. Let women start paying maintenance and alimony to their men. Let women start marrying unemployed men and provide them. Let women seek dangerous, hazardous, low-paying and risky jobs. Let women seek equality in physically streneous jobs. Only then will I accept this.

      1. Quoting you: “let women stop kicking tradition in the day and sleep with it at night. Only then will I accept this”

Can you assure me that women get education, healthcare facility, food, equal opportunities at par with men? Can you assure that she can continue to work even after she gets married and/or has kids (should get a leave for a year at least)? Can our society change so as to promote women to get more physical training(mostly girls are not encouraged in our society to do any strenuous/physical training)? If all this can be made possible, then all that you mentioned above(quoted) is possible.
On a serious note, women and men are physically different and there are certain things (like nurturing) where women are better than men and i’m sure there will be certain areas where men are better (you will have hazaar examples for that) but when it comes to using brains (in almost 97% of the industries) there is no need for any discrimination.

  13. I can see and as have stated earlier that this blog forum is obviously for like minded people like Arvind and his intelligent friends who share same views completely ignoring the facts and believe that anyone disagreeing is ‘sick-minded’. God bless you and your friends!

I feel i am wasting my time in writing as its something similar to telling an atheist about GOD but still i thought what’s the harm except that someone may call me insane or whatever, depending on their command on colorful language.
    That’s OK🙂

However if time permits it would be nice if you can go through some of the information which i have put together below. These are pure facts; and the source everywhere is mentioned. Please bear in mind that these are NOT my views.

“Literacy rate of females, which was 8.86% in 1951 rose to 54.16% in 2001. Women’s work participation rate, which was 19.7% in 1981, rose to 25.7% in 2001. The data base also brings out the areas where the progress has been slow if not retrograde. The sex ratio in the 0-6 years age group dropped from 945 in 1991 to 927 in 2001, which indicates that society still does not welcome a girl child and the preference rests with sons. Nearly 50% women get married before they attain 18 years of age, and 57.9% pregnant women and 56.2% married women suffer from anaemia. Maternal mortality rate (MMR) is still quite high, at 254 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births (in 2006). Thus, there is room for much more to be done to ameliorate the plight of women at the grass root level.”

    1. The so-called facts that you have presented have been based on wrong notions and interpreted wrongly. For example, the sex ratio is not exactly because of the love for sons but for the fact that the middle class in India is into family planning. So most families can have at the most 2-3 kids. This has been one of the root causes. Secondly, the crime rate. Nobody has stated what is the crime rate against men. Men have been ignored because men are disposable napkins according to people like Saumya who contitute the majority in society. Crime rate against women is also more because false allegations of dowry, rape, DV etc end up as stats although they are false. I gave examples of how facts are faulty and misinterpreted. The same way, other stats are false. So it is wrong to assume things. These stats never speak about men. But the fact is that 96% of all deaths due to accidents, work, rescue missions, wars are of men and not women. Stats never tell you that male suicide rate increases after marriage. Stats never tell you that 98% of all cases filed under section 498A (dowry law) are false and malicious. Stats never tell you that all women related laws are strongly anti-male and any woman can misuse any law at any time with no proof required and no laws against its misuse. So, feminists should stop this false and malicious propaganda.

  14. Your comment: “It’s simply not issue of having choices/making choices in free manner; it’s more about long term consequences of having choices, which indicate the high probability of single women, pills, abortions, extra-marital relations, same-sex relations, stress-related burdens, broken families, deviant kids and etc.?”

My response: Long term consequences of bad marriage where a women is suffering but stays in a marriage as she has no where to go will set a bad example for her children as that’s what they will grasp which is not good for their mental health. The women should make choice to leave a bad marriage, try to get a support system and stay single. Same sex relation is in males as well as females, so Arvind why are you particularly worried about women? Do you have some data which says that in case of women it is rising OR is it your view? Abortions by and large is not a women’s choice, i have worked in an NGO where MTP’s/family planning is done and almost 90% women who came for abortion were forced to, by in-laws/husband/circumstances(rape etc).

Your comment: “That’s why all conscious souls, interested in right developments, should become alert when “there is no distinction between potential and probability.

My response: Women have been given rights but where is the implementation?(and i agree with you on this, there are laws but no strict implementation) Taking your example, “women have the right to be seated in a bus or train”; it’s not by virtue of being a women but because chances that someone may rub against her while she is standing…yes that’s why! “They have the right to claim alimony and maintenance…” Yes because they don’t have a bank balance (majority cases) or asset or educational background or work experience or have kids (whatever applicable). Men have duties but because they have all the rights of this world, but they don’t even perform their duties! Although what i am saying is not applicable for all men…many of my best friends are men including my husband and it would be an insult to them if i don’t clarify this.

Your comment: “What about the dangerous interference in the evolutionary process, wherein for ages men played the role of protector and women the role of nurturing the kids? With this kind of perverted “role reversal”, are’t we on the wrong track? One of my friends, during gender related conversation, referring to Sunita Williams ( as if only after that Indian women learnt the art to make exceptional choices) stated that she did not have kids for the sake of work! It would be suffice to say that if all women made such a choice, it would not be hard to imagine the fate of evolution of human species! However, this is classic example of selective approach, wherein a woman seeks benefits of traditional society when she feels trapped by her weaknesses but she is absolutely modern when it comes to making choices and rights. That’s paradox at its best since.”

My response: You got it wrong here, Women are ALWAYS going to play the role of a nurturer, that comes to us so naturally, but that should not stop us from excelling in areas which excites us. For that, men should come forward and support her. There are families like mine, where i get tremendous support and it’s only because of this support that i have been able to do what i wanted to. And there is perfect work and life balance (I work half days and dedicate the other half to my son)! All one requires is support and not a strict division of labour. If Sunitha Williams doesn’t want to have kids, evolution process is not going to jeopardize, for crying out loud !!! I don’t see any problem in evolution or population. It’s a matter of choice and those two people involved in making the choice.

Your comment: “That’s unfair to hear/see only one side in any story and jump to flawed conclusions applicable to totality.
Why such a wish irks those concerned with rights of women? Will society be a better place only if you enable the women to have all the rights? Why shouldn’t the rights of men be discussed in the same breath? Why should not adequate attention be paid to silent sufferings of men? It leaves me aghast that tragedies, stories of discrimination associated with men, their precarious state of affairs being involved in hazardous and tough activities and regular interaction with dilemmas and ironies of peculiar type are being talked about in matter-of-fact tones.”

My response: Arvind ji, Men dominate this society, it’s a fact and they also have this inherent superiority feeling in them that they are superior and females are inferior to them. They are the ones with more education, money, asset etc. Now if they have invited upon themselves so much of responsibility and burden then why are they complaining about being used as an ATM machine? Besides why complaining, give women the opportunity (if they are willing) to work, let them share the responsibility of men and men can share some of thier responsibilities (cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids – not babies). Please write one blog on what rights men need…as i can’t think of anything…they have the muscle power, don’t they? Perhaps you are talking about compensation given to wife if divorced / domestic violence etc. Most of the men are really perturbed by this law. The law is good, just can be made a little more full proof.

I can continue writing against all your points but i do realize it’s futile. I should perhaps write in a forum where i find like minded men and women, so that they can praise me🙂 ..also as i have to goto work tomorrow.

Thanks thats all from my side and i too wish you the very best in life…continue with your fight, if the cause is right you will definitely succeed.

    1. @Saumya,
Your response to arvind’s article shows the extent of feminist indoctrination rather than your own independent thinking. Feminism has taken deep roots in your mind like the way islamic jihadi mentality took deep roots in the minds of Ajmal Kasab. I am not kidding. It clearly shows in the one-sided thinking that you have especially when you say that men have all the rights in the world and that society is male-dominated etc. which are all feminist lies hammered down women’s brains and you just parrot the same without using your grey cells.

Regarding abortions, you have worked in some mahila ngo which caters to the lower classes of society. What about the upper classes where women talk about rights, more rights and no responsibilities?

You said: “Women have been given rights but where is the implementation?(and i agree with you on this, there are laws but no strict implementation)”

Ans: If there was no implementation, how would more than 10 lakh victims of false cases of 498A and DV acts alone would be there in India today? How would lakhs of other men be exploited by women NGOs for settlement? How would more than 55000 married men commit suicide because of harassment by their wives?

You said: “it’s not by virtue of being a women but because chances that someone may rub against her while she is standing…yes that’s why!”

Ans: Excuses are aplenty. Better create your own womanistan and stop complaining. Do not enter Manistan and do not allow men to enter womanistan.

You said: ““They have the right to claim alimony and maintenance…” Yes because they don’t have a bank balance (majority cases) or asset or educational background or work experience or have kids (whatever applicable). ”

Ans: So you want men to pay hefty alimony and maintenance when women are educated as well? You have a lot to answer. What happens when a woman is more educated than the man or earns more? What happens when the man is uneducated too? What happens when the man is sick and the woman is fine? Where is gender equality? Shame on the feminists who support maintenance for women who are educated and well-earning. Shame shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You said: “Men have duties but because they have all the rights of this world, but they don’t even perform their duties! Although what i am saying is not applicable for all men…many of my best friends are men including my husband and it would be an insult to them if i don’t clarify this.”

Ans: Yes men have all the rights of this world and that is why they are willingly sacrifising their lives to protect and provide women. Every min, a soldier is getting killed. So it is their right to get killed. Men have all rights and so they struggle to bring home money, very often risking their lives. Men have all the rights and that is why they have no choice but to be free atm machines for society and unpaid bodyguards. Men have all rights and that is why there are no support systems for men and so men die much earlier than women. Men have all the rights and so no fund allocation for men. Men have all the rights and so no laws to protect men. Yes, men do not peform their duties, they just sit around and talk about women and that is the reason our frontiers are so safe, the reason why every min a soldier is dying, the reason why food is being delivered from farms and farmers struggle to grow in the hot sun without water. Saumya, you need to get a life chick!!!

I DO NOT WISH TO ANSWER ANY OF YOUR OTHER MISPLACED IDEAS WHICH ARE ALL ONE-SIDED FEMINIST INDOCTRINATIONS. I cannot help a feminist Jihadi full of male hatred and neck deep into feminist Jihadi ideology. Sorry.

    2. Women’s groups/NGOs and feminist organisations are anti-social elements of our times who are into big time extortion and blackmail against the men in our society. They seek more and more anti-male laws such as dowry law, 498A, DV act, HMA 125, sexual harassment act, rape law in which case any woman can file any case against any man and at any time and the man is behind bars without any bail and with a cognisable case with the burden of proof on the man. The court case would go on for decades and the women’s NGOs would seek an out of court settlement to withdraw the case. This runs into 10-15 lakhs average and the man is sucked to the core, becomes poor and the women’s NGOs and the woman complainant share the loot. This is the truth. Women’s NGOs seek anti-male laws for this reason and for women to completely enslave the menfolk in the name and garb of gender equality and empowerment. I seek a complete ban on women’s groups/feminist groups the same way as Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaishe-mohammed are banned. Women’s groups/feminist organisation are into full time legal terrorism and extortion/blackmail. They are into crime.

    Thanks for your well-wishes..

  16. This is an excellent article. I just have to add that the so-called patriarchy never existed. it is just a feminist myth created to mislead society. Our societies have been misled for the past 100 years by feminazis. Its time for men to show feminists their place!!!!!!!

    1. @Men’s Rights..

Thanks for your meaningful participation…I was sure of your participation.. I didn’t bother you earlier because I am aware that you are a busy bee for most of the time…However, I am happy that finally you found time enough to respond. Your appearance makes me nostalgic since I remember the Instamedia days wherein we participated in number of intense debates.. And it makes me happy that neither you nor myself has lost vigour, hope and optimism despite constraints of time…

Just like to clarify that Saumya is not a feminist. It’s only that she is in awe of modern trend patterns with not much critical examination of such flawed views. Thanks to you, men’s rights, for supplying the missing links.. And I am sure that would help her and other readers to develop a proper perspective.

There is one more link regarding the same issue..If time allows do kindly read that as well:

      https://indowaves.wordpress.com/2013/02/02/gender-equality-is-like-the-snake-marrying-mongoose/

      1. Thank you Arvind. Yes, I too remember the instablog days.🙂 I really miss those days.

Regarding Saumya, you seem to be quite right. But I wonder how a aggressive and illogical a feminist can be when a non-feminist (according to you) can be so illogical and with faulty ideas.

I will certainly take time out to comment on the link. Thanks for that.

      2. @ Arvindji, quoting you,”It’s only that she is in awe of modern trend patterns with not much critical examination of such flawed views”

I don’t know if i am in awe of what dangerous modern trend patterns and how my views are flawed as per you, but surely you people are hell bent to confine women to their limits and are capable to write books on what code of conduct they should follow! You people try sounding like intellectuals but under that garb what you have is just the same rotten ideas which Asaram bapu has! I DON’T CARE IF PEOPLE CALL ME FEMINIST OR NON-FEMINIST…It’s not a gaali afterall, but for sure whatever i’m saying is getting your goat…cause that’s what the truth is.
All you keeping harping about is 498A…fine even i’m saying laws are there, implementation is not proper, and this is just one example where men are getting threatened.

Just take a re-look at the kind of arguments you people are putting forth…i mean here i am talking about so many issues, underlying causes, root causes…and what not (with proper links) and all you are giving me back is only and only showing your hatred for women! What is it…some kind of trauma/bad experience that you have received from one or more woman? Sorry, don’t intend to get personal on this but that’s how it looks like! I don’t know i am a feminist or not…but you all surely are WOMEN HATERS!

  17. Interrogating Feminism
    By Rajesh Kumar.
    http://masculist.wordpress.com/
Human society is evolving since million of years. In this process of evolution, at some time one organ of the society becomes important and at some other time some different organ of the society becomes important. Such shifting of importance can be based on geography as on macro level some countries were important in the ancient ages, some different countries in middle ages and still some other countries in modern ages. If we see on a class of professional level, we see the same dynamic process. When we see on a caste or race level, such shifting dynamics is obvious. Even on the natural species level, both in plant and animal kingdoms, we see changing level of importance of different species in different time frame.
When we look at the position of women in general in human societies, it is constantly changing. At some stage the human society was having matriarchy (it is till there in some tribal society), which was later evolved into a society based on patriarchy. With the development of modern society, after advent of industry and service sectors and with democracy, the position of women is improving in all sphere of life.
Feminism, on the other hand prophesies philosophy which has no scientific or academic basis. It is based on certain assumption, and makes such sweeping remarks that it is getting obvious that it has no relation to reality. However, due to certain cultural factors, presumptions of feminism have never been questioned openly. Such non questioning by the civilized society has given a undue credit to the discipline, which is creating havoc in the society. Thus it becomes important to question certain basic tenets of the discipline, so that the practioners of the discipline can question those tenets, which are taken as self proved and make amendments wherever required.
    -Society view is Men’s View:
The fundamental presumption of feminism is that whatever society does and says is “Male view”. The basis of this assumption is that the society acts through its rulers, and for most of the recorded history, they are Males.
Rulers are neither males nor females- they are rulers. The society has to run itself. To run the society, rulers make certain rules for everybody- males and females and in that context the view of the society cannot be taken as Male view. Whatever decision Indira Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi takes, cannot be treated as Women’s view, merely because they are women. When a Male judge of Supreme Court says that husband should obey wife, it can not be said to be a Male view. This branding of “society view” is male view is not supported by any evidence and as such has no relevance. By dubbing such historical facts as male facts, the feminist have distorted the historical developments and thereby reducing the usefulness of their studies.
    -Women are treated as Objects:
The society treats everybody- every individual as object. It makes norms for everybody- men, women, worker, journalist, judge, prisoner etc. Merely because there are some norms made for women, it does not mean they have become object. If such definition is accepted, everybody in the society is an object because there are certain norms for everybody.
The norms may be right of wrong. The norms may give privilege to some or may impose limitation on some. But they are norms. We may analyse what norms are right or wrong, we may criticize unreasonable norms- but mere existence of some norm does not make anybody object. If norms make anybody object, the every individual or every human being is an object.
Reading these two assumptions together, the feminist concludes that Society (read male) treats women as objects.
Apart from these two fundamental assumptions, there are minor assumptions like control of sexuality of women, women guilt, female experience etc. etc. It is important to examine such assumptions of feminism and develop theories which stood the test or rationality and objectivity.

  18. @Men’s rights. Wow! I never got to read all this discussion, somehow did not get any notification. My friend, i think i have said enough and it is you and Arvind and like minded people who would NEVER really accept the reality…and why should you? You are representatives of the same male dominating society in which we all exist. The only point you all keep on making is 498A, and how most of the cases are manipulated. But then it’s all your views; do you have even any ‘published (even manipulated) statistics’ to corroborate the same? All of you can continue to counter me as much as you like, but truth remains and it’s not going to change. You all are un-necessarily getting emotional about it. I actually want more and more women to question/debate with people like you. If more women start raising their voice then it will get difficult to label them as feminist or nari mukti morcha and dismiss them.

@Arvind JI, Men’s rights, Rohan ; i would sincerely like to know your views in the light of the child(girl) rape case that happened in Delhi and as a matter of fact happens everywhere. If however YOU ALL think that it’s all something that is blown up by the media and all that is reported is not right then i rest my case.
I am surprised at your silence on this ArvindJI….oh ok…you are not a feminist and i supposedly AM.

    1. @ Saumya ….

Reality is never one-sided….Let’s try to get the big picture…At least, my attempts are ferociously aimed at revealing the aspects which do not get highlighted by the female-centric media….I am sure that’s the aim of Rohan as well…We have nothing against women at large…

  19. @Men’s rights: My responses are in capital, just so that it STANDS OUT!

I SEE YOU HAVE COME TO ARVINDJI’S RESCUE AND MUST HAVE TAKEN QUITE SOME TIME TO WRITE AGAINST ALL MY ARGUMENTS, I WISH YOU JUST READ ALL THE LINKS I HAD ADDED FROM AUTHENTIC SOURCES TO UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE BETTER! OH..SORRY YOU DISMISSED IT BY SAYING THAT ALL THOSE AUTHENTIC DATA IS WRONG AND YOU WOULD RATHER BELIEVE IN YOUR OWN VIEWS, WHICH YOUR SUPERIOR GREY CELLS ARE INDUCING! THE COMPARISON YOU HAVE DRAWN TOWARDS BEING A JIHADI IS NICE…I GUESS THATS THE KIND OF SPIRIT WOMEN REQUIRE TO KEEP, IN ORDER TO BETTER THEIR STATUS IN THE SOCIETY!

Regarding abortions, you have worked in some mahila ngo which caters to the lower classes of society. What about the upper classes where women talk about rights, more rights and no responsibilities?
AND HOW DID YOU ASSUME THAT SIR, THAT THAT ‘MAHILA NGO’ CATERS TO LOWER CLASS ONLY? DID I MENTION THAT ANYWHERE? THIS NGO IS ACTUALLY ‘DKT INTERNATIONAL’ FUNDED WELL KNOWN NGO AND CATERS TO ALL SECTIONS… YOU MAY NOT BELIEVE, BUT YOU READ IT RIGHT.

CAN YOU PLS SHARE ME THE AUTHENTIC SOURCE WHERE I CAN CHECK ON YOUR DATA PLS?I DONT BELIEVE YOU.

You said: “it’s not by virtue of being a women but because chances that someone may rub against her while she is standing…yes that’s why!”

Ans: Excuses are aplenty. Better create your own womanistan and stop complaining. Do not enter Manistan and do not allow men to enter womanistan.
SO THAT’S YOUR SOLUTION TO SAVE WOMEN FROM BEING RUBBED AGAINST, RIGHT? WHY DON’T YOU PLAN ONE SUCH WORLD…IT WILL BE SO INTERESTING TO READ IT! HA..I DON’T KNOW HOW TO REACT TO THIS!!!

EXCEPTIONAL CASES CAN BE DEALT BY THE COURT SIR, I DON’T REALLY HAVE A LOT TO ANSWER! SHAME ON MEN WHO DEPRIVE THOSE MAJORITY OF WOMEN OF MAINTAINANCE, MANY OF WHO ALSO HAVE KIDS…REALLY SHAME..AND DOUBLE SHAME ON MEN WHO SUPPORT SUCH MEN.

A SOLDIER’S EXAMPLE WAS GIVEN BY ARVINDJI ALSO, AND I HAD STATED THAT HAT’S OFF TO ALL THE SOLDIERS WHO SACRIFICE THEIR LIFE FOR THE NATION. SOLDIERS WHEN JOIN ARMY KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO THEM, WOMEN WHEN GO OUT IN PUBLIC OR EVEN IN THE CONFINES OF THEIR HOME ARE NOT REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO GET RAPED/MOLESTED/EVE TEASED/ACID ATTACKED. SIR, YOU NEED TO DO AN APPLE TO APPLE COMPARISON. PLS GET A GRASP/UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, THEN SAY!

Sorry.

YOU SHOULD NOT. WITH THIS KIND OF LEVEL OF ARGUMENTS YOU MOST DEFINETLY SHOULD NOT.
